Setup

Charging the Controller

The controller is equipped with a 3.7V/380mAh rechargeable battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the controller before its first use.

  • Connect the included USB charger cable to the controller's charging port.
  • Plug the other end of the USB cable into a standard 5V/500mA USB power source (e.g., a USB wall adapter, computer USB port, or Nintendo Switch dock).
  • The charging time is approximately 2-3 hours.
  • A fully charged battery provides approximately 5 hours of continuous operation.

Pairing with Nintendo Switch

This controller connects to the Nintendo Switch console via Bluetooth and does not require any driver installation. Follow these steps to pair your controller:

  1. From the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu, select "Controllers".
  2. Then select "Change Grip/Order".
  3. While the screen displays "Press L + R on the controller", press and hold the small SYNC button located on the top edge of the Pro Controller for a few seconds.
  4. The player indicator lights on the bottom of the controller will flash during pairing and then remain solid once successfully connected.

  • HOME Button: Returns to the Nintendo Switch HOME Menu.
  • START Button (+): Typically used for pausing games or accessing menus.
  • SELECT Button (-): Often used for secondary functions or menus.
  • D-Pad: Directional input.
  • L Stick / R Stick: Analog joysticks for movement and camera control.
  • A/B/X/Y Buttons: Standard action buttons.
  • LB/RB: Left and Right Bumper buttons.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Troubleshooting

Controller Not Connecting

If you experience issues with the controller connecting to your Nintendo Switch:

  • Ensure the controller is fully charged. A low battery can prevent connection.
  • Repeat the pairing process as described in the "Pairing with Nintendo Switch" section.
  • Verify that the Nintendo Switch console's Bluetooth communication is enabled.
  • If issues persist, try resetting the controller. Locate the small RESET button on the back of the controller (often recessed) and press it using a thin tool like a straightened paperclip.

Controller Not Charging
