4. Operating Instructions
Your Lorell Conjure Executive Mid-Back Mesh Back Chair offers multiple adjustments for personalized comfort.

Figure 4.0.1: Overview of chair features including adjustable mesh back, adjustable lumbar support, extra thick padded seat, and independent seat and back angle tilts.
4.1. Seat Height Adjustment
To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up and pull the lever up. Release the lever at the desired height.
4.2. Tilt Tension Adjustment
The tilt tension knob is located underneath the front of the seat. Turn the knob clockwise to increase tilt tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tilt tension (making it easier to recline).
4.3. Backrest Angle Adjustment (Ratchet Back)
The ratchet back mechanism allows you to adjust the backrest height. To adjust, lift the backrest upwards in small increments until it reaches the desired height. To lower, lift the backrest to its highest point, then release it to drop to the lowest position, and then re-adjust upwards.
4.4. Lumbar Support Adjustment
The adjustable lumbar support provides ergonomic support for your lower back. Adjust the position of the lumbar support by sliding it up or down on the backrest to find your optimal comfort.
4.5. Seat Slider Adjustment
The seat slider allows you to adjust the seat depth. Locate the lever on the left side, beneath the seat. Pull the lever to unlock the seat, slide the seat forward or backward to your preferred depth, and then release the lever to lock it in place.

5. Maintenance and Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your chair.
- Cleaning: Spot clean the fabric and mesh components as needed. Use a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary.
- Casters: Keep casters free of debris to ensure smooth movement.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your chair, refer to the following common solutions.
- Chair Sinks or Does Not Stay Up: Ensure the gas lift cylinder is properly seated in both the base and the seat mechanism. If the issue persists, the gas lift may need replacement.
- Chair Wobbles: Check all assembly screws to ensure they are securely tightened. Ensure the base and casters are fully engaged.
- Difficulty Reclining or Adjusting Tilt: Adjust the tilt tension knob (Section 4.2). Ensure no obstructions are preventing movement.
- Casters Not Rolling Smoothly: Check casters for trapped hair or debris and clean as necessary.
