1.2 Safety Information

WARNING: Improper use can lead to serious injury or death. Always follow safety guidelines.

  • Ensure the compressor is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Always replace the oil cap with the breathing rod before operation.
  • Never operate the compressor without a properly set up water cooling system.
  • Do not exceed the maximum filling pressure of 300Bar/4500PSI/30MPA.
  • Monitor the compressor temperature; it should not exceed 85℃.
  • Do not run the compressor for more than 45 minutes continuously without a cool-down period.
  • Use only recommended compressor oil (5W-40).
  • Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free before starting.

2. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your compressor for first use.

2.1 Initial Preparation and Oil Filling

  1. Replace Oil Cap: Locate the sealing cover (for transportation) on the compressor's oil fill port. Remove it.
  2. Install Breather Rod: Find the crankcase breather in the accessory pack. Thread it into the oil fill port. This allows proper ventilation during operation.
  3. Add Compressor Oil: Ensure the compressor is level. Fill the oil reservoir with 5W-40 compressor oil up to the red indicator dot on the sight glass. DO NOT OVERFILL!

Detailed visual instructions for oil filling and breather rod installation are available in the setup video below.

Video 2.1: Initial Setup (Oil, Breather Rod, Water Pump, Filter)

This video demonstrates the initial steps of setting up the compressor, including replacing the oil cap with the breather rod, adding oil, connecting the water pump, and assembling the oil-water filter.

2.2 Water Cooling System Setup

  1. Prepare Water Bucket: Place a bucket of water (sufficient volume, e.g., 10-15 liters) next to the compressor. Ensure the bucket is at a similar level to the compressor for optimal water flow.
  2. Connect Water Pump: Connect the water pipe to the water pump's nozzle. Place the water pump into the water bucket.
  3. Connect Water Hoses: Connect one end of the water pipe from the pump to the high-pressure part of the compressor. Connect the other water pipe from the low-pressure part of the compressor back into the water bucket.
  4. Verify Water Flow: Plug in the water pump's power cord to a suitable outlet. Ensure water flows normally through the system. This confirms correct installation of the cooling system.

2.3 Oil-Water Filter Installation

  1. Disassemble Filter: Disconnect the soft hose and female connector from the filter. Open the filter housing.
  2. Insert Moisture Absorber: Place one white seal disc inside the female connector, then insert the moisture absorber cotton inside the filter.
  3. Reassemble Filter: Connect the filter components. Ensure one black O-ring is inside for a proper seal. Fasten securely with a wrench.
  4. Connect to Compressor: Connect the assembled oil-water filter to the compressor's output hose.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Setting Desired Pressure

The TXED013 model features an adjustable pressure function. Before starting, set the desired pressure on the gauge. The compressor will automatically stop when this pressure is reached.

This video illustrates how to set the desired pressure on the gauge, and demonstrates the compressor's auto-stop and auto-purge functionalities.

3.2 Filling Procedure

  1. Connect Tank: Securely connect the filling hose with the oil-water filter to your PCP rifle tank, scuba tank, or other air container.
  2. Tighten Release Valve: Ensure the pressure release valve screw is fully tightened to prevent air leakage.
  3. Power On: Turn on the main power switch of the compressor. The compressor will begin to fill the connected tank.
  4. Monitor Pressure and Temperature: Continuously monitor the pressure gauge and the digital thermometer. The compressor will automatically shut off when the set pressure is reached. The temperature should not exceed 85℃.
  5. Auto Purge: The TXED013 model includes an auto-purge function, which automatically releases excess air and moisture when the set pressure is reached.
  6. Release Residual Pressure: After the compressor stops, slowly open the pressure release valve screw to release any residual pressure in the hose before disconnecting the tank.

Approximate Fill Times:

  • 0.5L tank from 0-300 bar (0-4500 PSI): Approximately 3 minutes.
  • 6.8L tank from 0-300 bar (0-4500 PSI): Approximately 45 minutes.

4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor.

4.1 Oil Level and Replacement

  • Check Daily: Always check the oil level before each use. Ensure it is at the red indicator dot.
  • First Oil Change: Change the oil after the first 25 hours of use.
  • Subsequent Changes: Replace the oil every 50 hours of operation or every 6 months, whichever comes first.
  • Oil Type: Use 5W-40 compressor oil.

4.2 Water Cooling System

  • Water Quality: Use clean, distilled water for the cooling system to prevent mineral buildup.
  • Water Level: Ensure the water bucket has sufficient water throughout operation.
  • Hose Inspection: Regularly inspect water hoses for kinks, wear, or leaks. Replace if damaged.

4.3 Air Filter and Purge System

  • Moisture Absorber: Periodically check and replace the moisture absorber cotton in the oil-water filter to ensure clean, dry air output.
  • Purge Valve: The auto-purge function helps drain excess oil and water. Ensure it operates correctly.

5. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your compressor.

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor not starting. No power, loose connections, motor issue.Check power cord, ensure switches are ON. Verify all electrical connections.
Not building pressure.Pressure release valve open, leaks in system, worn seals.Ensure pressure release valve is closed. Check all hose connections for leaks. Inspect O-rings and seals.
Overheating (temperature exceeds 85℃).Insufficient water cooling, clogged hoses, prolonged operation.Ensure water pump is functioning and water level is adequate. Check for kinks or blockages in water hoses. Allow compressor to cool down.
Oil leakage.Loose oil fill cap/breather rod, damaged seals/gaskets.Ensure breather rod is properly threaded. Check and replace any damaged seals or gaskets.
Excessive noise or vibration.Loose components, worn parts.Inspect all bolts and connections for tightness. If noise persists, contact customer support.
