5. Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully for a secure installation. It is recommended to have at least two people for TV mounting.

5.1 Before You Begin

  • Check TV Compatibility: Verify your TV's size (13-42 inches), weight (max 77 lbs), and VESA pattern (75x75, 100x100, 200x100, 200x200mm).
  • Identify Wall Type: Determine if your wall is wood stud, concrete, or brick. Different anchors and drilling methods apply.
  • Gather Tools: You will need a drill, stud finder (for wood studs), level, pencil, tape measure, and a Phillips head screwdriver.

5.2 Mounting the Wall Plate

  1. Locate Studs (for wood stud walls): Use a stud finder to locate the center of the wood stud where you intend to mount the TV. Mark the location.
  2. Position Wall Plate: Hold the wall plate against the wall at your desired height. Use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drilling holes with a pencil.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes:
    • For wood studs: Drill pilot holes using a 5/32" (4mm) drill bit to a depth of 2.16" (55mm).
    • For concrete/brick walls: Drill pilot holes using a 3/8" (10mm) drill bit to a depth of 2.36" (60mm). Insert concrete anchors into the holes.
  4. Secure Wall Plate: Attach the wall plate to the wall using the provided lag bolts and washers. Tighten them firmly, but do not overtighten.

5.3 Attaching TV Brackets to TV

  1. Lay TV Face Down: Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent screen damage.
  2. Identify VESA Holes: Locate the four mounting holes on the back of your TV.
  3. Select Screws and Spacers: Choose the correct diameter and length of screws (M4, M6, or M8) that fit your TV's VESA holes. Use washers and spacers as needed to ensure the screws do not bottom out and the brackets sit flush.
  4. Attach TV Brackets: Align the TV brackets with the VESA holes and secure them using the selected screws, washers, and spacers. Tighten securely.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your TV mount:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodic Inspection: Every few months, check all mounting screws and connections to ensure they are still tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Movement Check: Test the swivel, tilt, and extension movements to ensure they operate smoothly. If any stiffness is noted, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied to moving joints (avoiding screw threads).
