Setup

1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the monitor.

2. Cuff Placement

Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings.

  1. Sit in a comfortable position with your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting on a table.
  2. Slide the cuff onto your left upper arm, ensuring the air tube points towards your forearm.
  3. The bottom edge of the cuff should be approximately 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) above your elbow joint.
  4. Wrap the cuff snugly around your arm. It should be tight enough so that you can barely slide two fingers under the edge.
  5. Connect the air tube from the cuff to the cuff connector port on the side of the monitor.

Operating Instructions

1. Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure you are seated comfortably, relaxed, and have followed the pre-measurement guidelines (no eating, smoking, etc.).
  2. Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will automatically inflate.
  3. Remain still and silent during the measurement.
  4. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  5. Press the START/STOP button again to turn off the device, or it will automatically shut off after a period of inactivity.

2. Memory Function

The ECB004 monitor stores previous readings, allowing you to track your blood pressure over time.

  1. With the device off, press the MEM button.
  2. The most recent reading will be displayed first.
  3. Press the MEM button repeatedly to scroll through older readings.
  4. To exit memory mode, press the START/STOP button or wait for automatic shut-off.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the monitor and cuff with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If necessary, use a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Ensure the device is completely dry before storage or next use.

2. Storage

  • Store the device and cuff in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
