1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Esperanza EHA005 Cool Vapor Humidifier. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new humidifier. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.

The Esperanza EHA005 is designed to improve air quality by adding moisture to the air, helping to alleviate dry skin, irritated throats, and other symptoms caused by dry indoor environments. It features a 2.6-liter tank capacity, quiet operation, adjustable steam outputs, and 7-color LED light.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Place the humidifier on a firm, flat, water-resistant surface at least 12 cm away from walls and appliances.
  • Do not place the humidifier on carpet, near heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
  • Always unplug the humidifier before filling, cleaning, or moving it.
  • Do not operate the humidifier with a damaged cord or plug.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Use only clean, cool tap water or distilled water. Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank.

4. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the humidifier from its packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the base unit on a flat, stable, and water-resistant surface. Ensure it is not directly on carpet or near electronic devices.
  3. Fill Water Tank:
    • Remove the water tank from the base.
    • Unscrew the tank cap at the bottom of the tank.
    • Fill the tank with clean, cool tap water or distilled water. Do not fill with hot water.
    • Securely screw the tank cap back on.
    • Place the filled water tank back onto the base unit, ensuring it is seated correctly.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (220V).

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off and Mist Control:
    • Turn the power knob clockwise to turn on the humidifier.
    • Continue turning the knob clockwise to increase the mist output. Turn counter-clockwise to decrease mist output.
    • Turn the knob fully counter-clockwise to turn off the humidifier.
  2. LED Light Function:
    • The humidifier features a 7-color LED light. The light typically activates automatically when the unit is on.
    • The LED light function is integrated with the power knob.
  3. Water Shortage Protection: The humidifier will automatically shut off when the water tank is empty. Refill the tank to resume operation.

6. Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance and hygiene.

Daily Maintenance:

  • Unplug the humidifier.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank and base.
  • Rinse the tank and base with fresh water.
  • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembly or storage.

Weekly Maintenance (Descaling):

  • Unplug the humidifier.
  • Remove the water tank.
  • Pour 2-4 tablespoons of white vinegar into the water tank and base.
  • Let it stand for 20-30 minutes to loosen mineral deposits.
  • Use a soft brush or cloth to clean the inside of the tank and the ultrasonic membrane in the base.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  • Dry all parts completely.

Storage: When not in use for extended periods, clean the humidifier thoroughly, ensure all parts are dry, and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting Guide
