5. Installation Guide
Before starting, ensure you have the necessary tools: pencil, drill, stud finder (for wood studs), level, Phillips head screwdriver, and a hammer (for concrete anchors).
5.1 Attaching the TV Plate to Your TV
- Carefully place your TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
- Identify the VESA mounting holes on the back of your TV.
- Select the appropriate screws (M4, M5, M6, or M8) and spacers that fit your TV's mounting holes.
- Attach the TV plate to the back of your TV using the selected screws and washers. Ensure it is securely fastened.
5.2 Mounting the Wall Plate to the Wall
Important: Determine your wall type (wood stud, solid concrete, or brick) before proceeding.
For Wood Stud Installation:
- Use a stud finder to locate the edges and center of a wood stud. Mark the center.
- Position the wall plate at your desired height, ensuring it is level. Mark the drilling locations through the holes on the wall plate.
- Drill pilot holes (e.g., 5.5mm / 7/32 inch) at the marked locations.
- Attach the wall plate to the wall using the lag bolts and washers. Tighten firmly.
For Solid Concrete or Brick Wall Installation:
- Position the wall plate at your desired height, ensuring it is level. Mark the drilling locations.
- Drill pilot holes (e.g., 10mm / 3/8 inch) at the marked locations.
- Insert concrete anchors into the drilled holes. Tap gently with a hammer if needed until flush with the wall surface.
- Attach the wall plate to the wall using the lag bolts and washers, screwing them into the anchors. Tighten firmly.

5.3 Hanging the TV onto the Wall Plate
- With assistance, carefully lift the TV with the attached TV plate.
- Align the TV plate with the arm assembly on the wall plate and gently hook it into place.
- Secure the TV to the mount using the safety screws or locking mechanism, if provided, to prevent accidental dislodging.

6. Operating Instructions
The PERLESMITH Full Motion TV Wall Mount offers various adjustments for optimal viewing comfort.
6.1 Adjusting Tilt
To adjust the vertical tilt angle (+15° to -15°), loosen the tilt adjustment bolts on the TV plate, set the desired angle, and then re-tighten the bolts to secure the TV in place.

6.2 Adjusting Swivel and Extension
The mount features a multi-jointed arm that allows for horizontal swivel (+/- 90°) and extension from the wall (5cm to 35.5cm). Gently push or pull the TV to the desired position. The swivel angle may be limited by the size of your TV and its proximity to the wall.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall mount.
- Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Do not hang anything from the mount or TV that is not intended for it.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your TV wall mount, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| TV is not level after installation. | Wall plate not level during installation. | Slightly loosen wall plate bolts, adjust level, and re-tighten. For significant tilt, re-install the wall plate ensuring it is perfectly level. |
| Difficulty adjusting tilt/swivel. | Joints are too tight. | Loosen the adjustment bolts slightly on the relevant joints. Do not loosen excessively to maintain stability. |
| TV feels unstable on the mount. | Screws not fully tightened or weight capacity exceeded. | Ensure all mounting screws (both to TV and wall) are securely tightened. Verify TV weight is within the mount's capacity. |
| Mount does not extend/retract smoothly. | Friction in the arm joints. | Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving joints if necessary. Avoid oil-based lubricants. |
