Safety Instructions

Front Panel Controls:
- Power ON/OFF Switch: Turns the unit on or off.
- Function Selector: Switches between PHONO (Turntable), Bluetooth, CD, Cassette, FM, and AUX modes.
- Volume Knob: Adjusts the master volume level.
- Tuning Knob: Used to tune FM radio stations.
- Radio Dial: Displays the current FM frequency.
- CD/Cassette Controls: Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Forward/Backward, Program, Repeat, Open/Close (for CD), Eject (for Cassette).

Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Victrola Multimedia Center:
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging.
- Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibration.
- Power Connection: Connect the AC power adapter to the AC Power Input on the rear of the unit, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- Turntable Preparation: Remove the protective cap from the stylus (needle). Ensure the tone arm is unlocked from its rest.
- Antenna (FM): Extend the FM wire antenna for optimal radio reception.

Operating Instructions
1. Turntable Operation (PHONO)
- Lift the turntable lid.
- Set the FUNCTION selector to PHONO.
- Place a record on the turntable platter.
- Select the appropriate speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) using the speed selector switch. For 45 RPM records, place the included 45 RPM adapter on the center spindle.
- Gently lift the tone arm using the cue lever and position it over the desired track on the record.
- Lower the tone arm slowly onto the record using the cue lever. The record will begin to play.
- Adjust the VOLUME knob to your desired listening level.
- At the end of the record, the tone arm will automatically return to its rest (if auto-stop is enabled). Lift the tone arm and return it to its rest manually if needed.

2. Bluetooth Operation
- Set the FUNCTION selector to Bluetooth. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for "Victrola Empire".
- Select "Victrola Empire" from the list of available devices to connect. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.
- You can now play music from your Bluetooth device through the multimedia center. Use the controls on your device or the unit's volume knob to adjust playback.
3. CD Player Operation
- Set the FUNCTION selector to CD.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the CD tray.
- Place a CD with the label side facing up into the tray.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The unit will read the CD.
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback.
- Use the SKIP FORWARD/BACKWARD buttons to navigate between tracks.
- Press the STOP button to end playback.
4. Cassette Player Operation
- Set the FUNCTION selector to TAPE.
- Insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot on the side of the unit. Push it in until it clicks into place.
- The tape will begin to play automatically.
- Use the control buttons (e.g., Fast Forward, Rewind, Stop) as needed.
- Press the EJECT button to remove the cassette tape.
5. FM Radio Operation
- Set the FUNCTION selector to FM.
- Rotate the TUNING knob to select your desired radio station. The illuminated radio dial will show the frequency.
- Adjust the VOLUME knob.
- For optimal reception, adjust the position of the FM wire antenna on the rear of the unit.

6. Auxiliary Input (AUX)
- Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the 3.5mm AUX IN jack on the front panel using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
- Set the FUNCTION selector to AUX.
- Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the multimedia center's speakers.
- Adjust the VOLUME knob on the unit and/or your external device.
7. RCA Line Output
To connect the multimedia center to external speakers or an amplifier:
- Connect the included RCA cable to the RCA LINE OUT jacks (red for right, white for left) on the rear of the unit.
- Connect the other end of the RCA cable to the corresponding audio input jacks on your external amplifier or powered speakers.
- Ensure your external audio system is powered on and set to the correct input.
- Audio from the multimedia center will now play through your external system.

8. Headphone Jack
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm stereo headphones into the HEADPHONE jack on the front panel. The built-in speakers will automatically mute.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or waxes, as these can damage the finish.
Stylus Care
- The stylus (needle) is a delicate component. Handle it with care.
- Avoid touching the stylus tip with your fingers.
- Clean the stylus periodically using a soft brush, brushing gently from back to front.
- A worn stylus can damage records and degrade sound quality. Replace the stylus when signs of wear are observed (e.g., distorted sound, skipping).
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your multimedia center, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
