3. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface in the desired location. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space around all sides for proper airflow. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the dehumidifier's power port, then plug the adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.
  4. Initial Operation: The unit is now ready for operation.

4. Operating Instructions

Turning On/Off:

  • Press the ON/OFF button once to turn the unit on. The 'ON' indicator light will illuminate green.
  • Press the ON/OFF button again to turn the unit off.

Automatic Shut-Off:

The dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. When the water tank reaches its maximum capacity, the unit will automatically turn off, and the 'FULL' indicator light will illuminate yellow. This prevents water overflow.

Emptying the Water Tank:

  1. When the 'FULL' indicator light turns yellow, turn off the dehumidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
  2. Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
  3. Open the tank cover and remove the rubber plug.
  4. Pour out the collected water.
  5. Replace the rubber plug and close the tank cover securely.
  6. Slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks into place.
  7. Plug the unit back in and turn it on to resume operation.

Continuous Drainage (Optional):

For continuous operation without needing to manually empty the tank, a drainage hose (not included) can be connected to the continuous drainage outlet at the back of the unit. Ensure the hose is directed to a suitable drain and is positioned lower than the outlet to allow gravity drainage.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your dehumidifier.

Cleaning the Water Tank:

Clean the water tank every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if used in dusty environments, to prevent mold and bacteria growth.

  1. Remove the water tank as described in Section 4.
  2. Wash the tank with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.
  3. Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.

Cleaning the Air Inlet/Outlet:

Dust and debris can accumulate on the air inlet and outlet, affecting efficiency. Clean these areas monthly.

  • Use a soft cloth or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust from the grilles.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Storage:

If the dehumidifier will not be used for an extended period:

  • Empty and clean the water tank.
  • Clean the exterior of the unit.
  • Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
