Setup and Installation
1. Mounting the Trolling Motor
The Terrova motor is designed for bow-mount installation. It attaches to the front of your boat using a bolt-on bracket. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and strong enough to support the motor's weight and operational forces.
- Position the motor on the bow, ensuring the shaft can fully deploy and stow without obstruction.
- Mark the drilling locations for the mounting bolts.
- Drill appropriate holes and secure the motor bracket using the provided hardware. Use marine-grade sealant to prevent water intrusion.
2. Electrical Connections (24-Volt System)
This motor requires a 24-volt power supply. This typically involves two 12-volt deep cycle marine batteries connected in series.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the first 12V battery to the negative (-) terminal of the second 12V battery.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the trolling motor to the positive (+) terminal of the second battery.
- Connect the negative (-) lead from the trolling motor to the negative (-) terminal of the first battery.
- Ensure all connections are tight and protected from corrosion. It is recommended to install a circuit breaker (not included) in the positive lead.
3. i-Pilot Link System Setup
The i-Pilot Link system integrates GPS functionality with your motor. It can be controlled via the included wireless remote or a compatible Humminbird fish finder (sold separately).
- Install the heading sensor in a location free from magnetic interference, typically on a flat surface near the stern of the boat.
- Pair the i-Pilot Link remote with the motor according to the instructions provided with the i-Pilot Link system.
- If connecting to a Humminbird fish finder, follow the networking instructions provided by Humminbird.

Operating Instructions
1. Deploying and Stowing the Motor
The Terrova features a Lift-Assist design for easy deployment and stowing.
- To deploy: Push down on the motor head and slide it forward on the ramps until it falls into the water.
- To stow: Pull up on the motor head, guiding it back onto the ramps until it locks securely in the stowed position.
2. Foot Pedal Operation
The low-profile electric foot pedal provides intuitive control:
- Steering: Use the heel/toe pedal or left/right steering buttons to control direction.
- Speed Control: Rotate the dial to adjust motor speed.
- Momentary/Constant On: Toggle switch to select between momentary power (motor runs only when pressed) or constant power.
- Spot-Lock Activation: Press the dedicated button to engage Spot-Lock.
- AutoPilot On/Off: Toggle switch to activate or deactivate AutoPilot.
3. i-Pilot Link System Features
The i-Pilot Link system offers advanced navigation and control:
- Spot-Lock: Uses GPS to automatically hold your boat in a specific location. Activate via foot pedal or remote.
- Spot-Lock with Jog: With the heading sensor, you can move your Spot-Lock location five feet in any direction.
- Record and Retrace Paths: Record a fishing path and have the motor automatically retrace it.
- AutoPilot: Automatically navigates your boat in a chosen direction, correcting for wind and current.
- Remote Control: Use the color touchscreen remote for comprehensive control over all i-Pilot Link functions.
- Humminbird Integration: Control your motor from a virtual remote on a compatible Humminbird fish finder (sold separately).
4. MEGA Down Imaging
The integrated MEGA Down Imaging transducer provides clear underwater views directly through the motor's shaft, keeping wiring protected and concealed. Connect to a compatible fish finder for optimal sonar performance to locate fish and structure.
5. Battery Meter
An integrated battery meter on the i-Pilot Link provides an instant reading of the motor's battery life, allowing you to monitor power levels during use.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your trolling motor.
- After Each Use: Rinse the motor with fresh water, especially after use in saltwater (though this model is freshwater specific, rinsing is good practice). Wipe down all exposed surfaces.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check the Weedless Wedge 2 Propeller for weeds, fishing line, or damage. Remove any obstructions. If the propeller is damaged, replace it immediately.
- Battery Care: Keep batteries charged and terminals clean. Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Follow battery manufacturer's guidelines for charging and storage.
- Shaft and Mount: Inspect the composite shaft and bow mount for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose fasteners. Tighten as necessary.
- Electrical Connections: Periodically check all electrical connections for corrosion or looseness. Clean and tighten as needed.
