Setup and Installation

1. Mounting the Trolling Motor

The Terrova motor is designed for bow-mount installation. It attaches to the front of your boat using a bolt-on bracket. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and strong enough to support the motor's weight and operational forces.

  1. Position the motor on the bow, ensuring the shaft can fully deploy and stow without obstruction.
  2. Mark the drilling locations for the mounting bolts.
  3. Drill appropriate holes and secure the motor bracket using the provided hardware. Use marine-grade sealant to prevent water intrusion.

2. Electrical Connections (24-Volt System)

This motor requires a 24-volt power supply. This typically involves two 12-volt deep cycle marine batteries connected in series.

  1. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the first 12V battery to the negative (-) terminal of the second 12V battery.
  2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the trolling motor to the positive (+) terminal of the second battery.
  3. Connect the negative (-) lead from the trolling motor to the negative (-) terminal of the first battery.
