Assembly and Setup
Stand Mixer Assembly
- Ensure the mixer is unplugged before assembly.
- Place the mixing bowl onto the bowl clamp plate and turn clockwise until it locks securely.
- Attach the desired beater, dough hook, or wire whip by pushing it up onto the attachment shaft and turning clockwise until it hooks over the pin on the shaft.
- If using, slide the pouring shield onto the bowl.
Spiralizer Attachment Assembly
- Ensure the mixer is unplugged.
- Loosen the attachment knob on the power hub by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Remove the power hub cover.
- Insert the spiralizer attachment shaft into the power hub, ensuring the shaft fits into the square socket.
- Tighten the attachment knob clockwise until the spiralizer is securely fastened.
- Select the desired blade (spiralizing or slicing) and the peeling blade (if needed). Slide the chosen blade(s) into the attachment until they click into place.
Operating the Stand Mixer
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer features a 10-speed slide control, allowing for precise mixing from a very slow stir to a very fast whip.

- Ensure the mixer is properly assembled with the desired attachment and bowl.
- Add ingredients to the mixing bowl.
- Plug the mixer into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Slide the speed control lever to the desired speed. Start at a lower speed and gradually increase to prevent splashing.
- When finished, slide the speed control lever to '0' (off) and unplug the mixer.
The 5-quart stainless steel bowl is designed to handle large batches, capable of mixing dough for up to 9 dozen cookies or 4 loaves of bread in a single batch.

Operating the Spiralizer Attachment
The spiralizer attachment connects to the power hub of your KitchenAid Stand Mixer, transforming fruits and vegetables into spirals, slices, or noodles.

Food Preparation
- Wash and dry fruits or vegetables.
- Trim both ends of the food to create flat surfaces.
- For best results, use firm, fresh produce.
Spiralizing Process
- Ensure the spiralizer attachment is securely installed on the power hub with the desired blade(s).
- Place the prepared fruit or vegetable onto the fruit/vegetable skewer of the attachment.
- Position the food so that the blade is aligned with the center of the food.
- Plug in the stand mixer.
- Turn the speed control lever to speed 4. The attachment will begin to rotate and process the food.
- Apply gentle, consistent pressure to the food pusher to guide the food through the blades.
- Once finished, turn the speed control to '0' (off) and unplug the mixer.
- Carefully remove any remaining food and the blades for cleaning.

Dishwasher-Safe Parts

- The spiralizer attachment body should be hand washed in warm, soapy water. Do not immerse the entire attachment in water.
- The pouring shield can be hand washed or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher.

- Wipe the mixer base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers.
