5. Setup and Installation

5.1. Pre-Installation Checklist

5.2. Physical Installation

  1. Open your PC case and locate the power supply mounting area, typically at the bottom or top rear.
  2. Carefully slide the ROG Thor 1200W Platinum Power Supply into the designated bay. Ensure the fan faces the correct direction (usually downwards for bottom-mount cases, or upwards if your case has a top vent).
  3. Secure the power supply to the case using the provided mounting screws.
  4. Connect the necessary modular cables to the power supply. Refer to your motherboard and component manuals for specific power requirements. Common connections include:
    • 24-pin ATX cable for the motherboard.
    • 4+4-pin or 8-pin EPS cable(s) for the CPU.
