Installation (Setup)
Professional installation is recommended for this product. Ensure you have all necessary tools and materials before starting.
- Prepare the Installation Area: Turn off the main water supply. Clear the area where the faucet will be installed. Ensure the floor structure can support the faucet and tub.
- Install the Rough-in Box: Position the rough-in box according to the provided dimension diagram (refer to the Specifications section image). Secure it to the subfloor using appropriate fasteners. Ensure it is level and properly aligned with the intended faucet location.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines to the rough-in box. Use thread sealant tape on all threaded connections to ensure a watertight seal. Ensure the lines are properly marked for hot and cold.
- Mount the Faucet Body: Once the rough-in box is secured and water lines are connected, attach the main faucet body to the rough-in box. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for securing the faucet to the floor mount.
- Connect Handheld Sprayer and Hose: Attach the handheld sprayer hose to the designated connection point on the faucet body. Ensure the connection is tight.
- Test for Leaks: Slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for leaks. If any leaks are detected, turn off the water supply, tighten the connections, and re-test. Repeat until all connections are watertight.
- Final Assembly: Install the escutcheon plate to cover the rough-in box and provide a finished look.

Operation
The Homary Freestanding Tub Filler Faucet is designed for ease of use with a single handle and a diverter knob.
- Controlling Water Flow and Temperature:
The single handle controls both water flow and temperature. Lift the handle to increase water flow. Move the handle left for hot water and right for cold water. Adjust the handle position to achieve the desired temperature and flow rate.
- Switching Between Spout and Handheld Sprayer:
To switch water output from the waterfall spout to the handheld sprayer, pull the diverter knob located on the faucet body. Push the knob back down to return water flow to the waterfall spout.
- Using the Handheld Sprayer:
Once the diverter knob is engaged, the handheld sprayer will provide water. Direct the sprayer as needed for targeted cleaning or rinsing.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the finish and functionality of your faucet.
- Cleaning the Finish: Clean the polished chrome finish regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap or a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for chrome. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish.
- Checking for Leaks: Periodically inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. Address any leaks promptly to prevent water damage.
- Cleaning the Sprayer Nozzles: If water flow from the handheld sprayer becomes irregular, the nozzles may be clogged. Gently rub the rubber nozzles to dislodge mineral deposits. For stubborn clogs, a mixture of vinegar and water can be used.
- Cartridge Maintenance: If the faucet experiences persistent dripping or difficulty controlling temperature/flow, the ceramic cartridge may need to be inspected or replaced. This typically requires professional assistance.
Troubleshooting
Refer to the following table for common issues and their solutions. If the problem persists, contact Homary customer support or a qualified plumber.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Faucet Leaks | Loose connections, damaged O-rings, faulty cartridge. | Turn off water supply. Check and tighten all connections. Inspect O-rings for damage and replace if necessary. If the leak persists from within the faucet body, the cartridge may need replacement by a professional. |
| Low Water Flow | Clogged aerator/spout, mineral buildup, partially closed shut-off valves. | Remove and clean the aerator/spout screen. Check if the main water supply valves are fully open. Clean any mineral buildup in the handheld sprayer nozzles. |
| Inconsistent Water Temperature | Faulty cartridge, issues with water heater, unbalanced water pressure. | Ensure your water heater is functioning correctly. If the issue is specific to the faucet, the ceramic cartridge may require inspection or replacement. Consult a plumber if unsure. |
| Diverter Not Switching | Diverter mechanism clogged or damaged. | Ensure the diverter knob is fully pulled or pushed. If it feels stiff or doesn't engage, it may require cleaning or replacement of internal components. |
