4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation (Backup)

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back or bottom of the alarm clock.
2. Open the compartment cover.
3. Insert one CR2032 button cell battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+/-). This battery serves as a backup to retain settings during power outages.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Power Connection

1. Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input port on the alarm clock.
2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
3. Upon initial power-up or after battery replacement, the clock will perform a self-test (displaying 0000 to 9999).

4.3 Radio Signal Reception (DCF)

After the self-test, the clock will automatically begin scanning for the DCF radio signal to set the time. A flashing DCF symbol on the display indicates that the clock is searching for the signal. This process may take several minutes. For best reception, place the clock away from electronic devices and metal objects.

• Once the signal is successfully received, the DCF symbol will stop flashing and remain solid, and the correct time will be displayed.
• If the signal is not received within a few minutes, try repositioning the clock.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Modes

The clock can cycle through different display modes:

• Time Display: Shows the current hour and minute.
• Date Display: Shows the month and day.

5.2 Setting the Alarm

To set the alarm:

3. Press 'ALARM' again to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
