Programming a Receiver to an Additional Transmitter Button
This procedure allows a single receiver (outlet) to respond to more than one button on a remote, or to a button on a different remote.
- Ensure no device is plugged into the receiver (outlet).
- Plug the receiver into a live wall receptacle. Do not press the programming button yet.
- Press and hold the programming button on the side of the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light begins to flash.
- While the light is flashing, press the desired ON button on the remote control that you wish to pair with the receiver.
- The indicator light on the receiver will stop flashing and turn off, indicating successful pairing.
Erasing All Receiver Memory/Transmitter Button Pairings
This will clear all programmed remote associations from a receiver, making it unresponsive until re-programmed.
- Unplug any device from the receiver.
- Unplug the receiver from the wall receptacle to remove power.
- While pressing and holding the programming button on the side of the receiver, plug the receiver back into the wall receptacle.
- Continue holding the button until the indicator light flashes, then release the button. The light will stop flashing, confirming that all memory has been erased.
Reassigning Receiver Control
To change which remote button controls a receiver, first erase its current programming and then reprogram it.
- Follow the steps for "Erasing All Receiver Memory/Transmitter Button Pairings" (Procedure 2 above).
- Once the memory is erased, follow the steps for "Programming a Receiver to an Additional Transmitter Button" (Procedure 1 above) to pair it with the new desired remote button.
Operating Instructions
Using your Syantek Remote Control Outlet Kit is straightforward:
- To Turn On: Press the 'ON' button corresponding to the paired outlet on your remote control. The connected appliance will power on.
- To Turn Off: Press the 'OFF' button corresponding to the paired outlet on your remote control. The connected appliance will power off.
The remote control operates using a strong RF signal, capable of working through doors and walls up to 100 feet away without requiring a direct line of sight.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The remote controls use 12V/23A batteries. If the remote's range decreases or it becomes unresponsive, it may be time to replace the battery. To replace:
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Open the compartment and remove the old battery.
- Insert a new 12V/23A battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment.
Cleaning
To clean the outlets and remote controls, wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse them in water.
Troubleshooting
- Outlet not responding to remote:
- Ensure the outlet is securely plugged into a live wall receptacle.
- Check if the appliance connected to the outlet is functioning correctly when plugged directly into a wall.
- Verify the remote control battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
- Re-program the outlet to the desired remote button following the "Reassigning Receiver Control" steps in the Setup section.
- Reduced remote range:
- Obstructions like thick walls, metal objects, or other electronic devices can interfere with the signal. Try operating the remote closer to the outlet.
- Replace the remote control battery.
- Outlet remains off after a power interruption:
- This is a safety feature. After a power outage, the outlet will remain off. Press the 'ON' button on the remote to restore power.
- Multiple buttons pressed simultaneously:
- Pressing multiple buttons on the same remote or using two remotes at the exact same moment can cause signal interference. Ensure only one button is pressed at a time.
