2.2 Rear Panel

The rear panel provides connectivity options including HDMI output for high-definition video and audio, composite video (VIDEO OUT) and stereo audio (AUDIO OUT L/R) for standard definition connections, and a SCART output for older televisions. The power input socket is also located here.

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the DVD player and all accessories from the packaging. Retain the packaging materials for future transport or storage.
3.2 Connecting to a Television
Choose one of the following connection methods based on your television's available inputs.
- HDMI Connection (Recommended for best quality):
Connect one end of an HDMI cable (not included) to the HD OUT port on the DVD player's rear panel and the other end to an HDMI input on your television.
- SCART Connection:
Connect one end of a SCART cable (not included) to the SCART OUTPUT port on the DVD player's rear panel and the other end to a SCART input on your television.
- AV (Composite Video & Audio) Connection:
Using the supplied AV cable, connect the yellow plug to the VIDEO OUT port, the white plug to the AUDIO OUT L port, and the red plug to the AUDIO OUT R port on the DVD player. Connect the other end of the cable to the corresponding inputs on your television.
3.3 Power Connection
After connecting the video and audio cables, plug the power cord into the AC power input on the rear of the DVD player, then plug the other end into a standard wall outlet.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
- Press the POWER button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the player on or off.
- Ensure your television is set to the correct input source (HDMI, SCART, or AV) corresponding to your connection.
4.2 Disc Playback
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
- Place a DVD or CD (DVD±R/+RW, CD/-R/-RW) onto the disc tray with the label side facing up.
- Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The player will automatically begin reading the disc.
- If the disc does not start automatically, press the PLAY button on the remote control.
4.3 USB Media Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the front panel.
- The player should automatically detect the USB device and display its contents. If not, press the USB button on the remote control to switch to USB mode.
- Navigate through the folders and files using the arrow keys on the remote control.
- Press PLAY/ENTER to select and play a file. Supported formats include MPEG4 (video), MP3/WMA (audio), and JPEG (image).
4.4 Basic Playback Controls
- Play/Pause: Press to start or pause playback.
- Stop: Press to stop playback.
- Skip: Use the NEXT/PREV buttons to skip to the next or previous track/chapter.
- Fast Forward/Rewind: Use the FF/REW buttons to fast forward or rewind through content.
- Zoom: Available for images and some video content via the remote control.
- Slow Motion: Available for video content via the remote control.
4.5 OSD (On-Screen Display) Menu
Press the SETUP button on the remote control to access the OSD menu. Here you can configure various settings such as:
- Language: Select OSD language, audio language, subtitle language.
- Video Settings: Adjust aspect ratio (16:9, 4:3), video output (PAL/NTSC).
- Audio Settings: Configure audio output options.
- Parental Control: Set ratings for disc playback (requires password).
Use the arrow keys to navigate and ENTER to confirm selections. Press SETUP again to exit the menu.
4.6 Child Lock Function
The child lock feature allows you to restrict playback of certain discs based on their rating. Access this setting through the OSD menu under "Parental Control". You will need to set a password to enable and manage this feature.
4.7 Automatic Playback
The player is designed to automatically begin playback of a disc once it is inserted and the tray is closed, provided the disc is a standard movie DVD or music CD. For data discs or discs with multiple titles, a menu may appear requiring manual selection.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the player.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or aerosol sprays, as these may damage the finish.
5.2 Disc Care
- Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface.
- Store discs in their cases when not in use to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.
- Clean dirty discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping gently from the center outwards.
