Proper care will ensure the longevity and performance of your Timex watch.

Figure 5.1: Detail of the durable resin strap, which requires periodic cleaning.
5.1 Cleaning Your Watch
- Wipe the watch case and resin strap with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying thoroughly.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the watch's finish.
5.2 Water Resistance Care
- Ensure the crown (if applicable) is pushed in completely before exposing the watch to water.
- Avoid operating buttons underwater.
- After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.
- Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may eventually be compromised by wear and tear or accidental damage. It is recommended to have the water resistance checked periodically by an authorized service center.
5.3 Battery Replacement
The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is highly recommended to have battery replacement performed by a qualified watch technician or an authorized Timex service center to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your watch, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Digital display is blank or dim. | Battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery. |
| Analog hands are not moving or are incorrect. | Check if the crown is pushed in. If battery is low, analog movement might stop before digital. Replace battery. |
| Digital time is incorrect. | Re-set the digital time following instructions in Section 3.1. Ensure 12/24-hour mode is correct. |
| Alarm does not sound. | Ensure the alarm is set correctly and is turned "ON" (alarm icon visible). Check battery level. |
| Water condensation inside the watch. | This indicates a breach in water resistance. Stop using the watch in water and seek professional service immediately to prevent further damage. |
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Timex customer support.
