The scale can be powered by either an AC adapter or batteries.
- AC Adapter: Connect the included 120V AC adapter to the power input port on the display unit and plug it into a standard wall outlet.
- Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the display unit and insert six (6) AA alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
4.3 Connecting the Display Unit
Connect the coiled cord from the weighing platform to the corresponding port on the remote display unit. Ensure the connection is secure.
4.4 Placement
Place the weighing platform on a firm, level, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid locations with excessive vibration, drafts, or extreme temperature changes.

5.3 Unit Selection (kg/lbs)
Press the UNITS button to toggle between kilograms (kg) and pounds (lbs) measurement modes. The selected unit will be indicated on the display.

5.6 Auto-Off Function
The scale features a programmable auto-off function to conserve battery life. If no weight change or button press occurs for a set period, the scale will automatically turn off. Refer to the specifications for the default auto-off time. This feature can typically be adjusted or disabled through specific button sequences (not detailed here, as specific instructions are not provided in the product description).
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Wipe the scale platform and display unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse any part of the scale in water.
6.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the scale in a dry, cool place. If using batteries, remove them to prevent leakage.
6.3 Battery Replacement
If the display shows a low battery indicator (e.g., 'Lo'), replace the six AA alkaline batteries in the display unit. Ensure proper polarity when inserting new batteries.
