1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use, charging, and maintenance of your Potensic T25 Original Modular 3.7V 1000mAh Li-po Battery Pack. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the batteries to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Safety Information

Lithium Polymer (Li-po) batteries require careful handling. Failure to follow these safety guidelines can result in fire, personal injury, or property damage.

  • Always use the original Potensic charger or a compatible charger specifically designed for 3.7V Li-po batteries.
  • Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery. Disconnect the battery once fully charged.
  • Never leave charging batteries unattended.
  • Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
  • Keep batteries away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and flammable materials.
  • Do not puncture, drop, disassemble, or modify the battery.
  • If the battery shows signs of swelling, leakage, or damage, discontinue use immediately and dispose of it properly.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from children and pets.
  • Dispose of depleted or damaged batteries according to local regulations for Li-po batteries.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the battery to the designated Potensic T25 battery charger.
  2. Plug the charger into a suitable power source.
  3. Observe the charging indicator lights on the battery or charger. Charging typically takes several hours.
  4. Once all indicator lights show a full charge (refer to your drone's main manual for specific light patterns), disconnect the battery from the charger.

Important: Do not use damaged batteries or chargers. Always supervise the charging process.

4.2 Installing the Battery

  1. Ensure the drone is powered off before installing or removing the battery.
  2. Locate the battery compartment on your Potensic T25 drone.
  3. Carefully insert the fully charged battery into the compartment, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover.

5. Operating

5.1 Battery Usage

  • Always ensure the battery is fully charged before each flight.
  • Monitor the drone's battery level during flight. Land the drone before the battery is completely depleted to prevent damage to the battery and drone.
  • Avoid flying in extreme temperatures, as this can affect battery performance and lifespan.

5.2 Flight Time Considerations

The actual flight time of your Potensic T25 drone can vary based on several factors:

  • Wind Conditions: Flying against strong winds consumes more power.
  • Flight Style: Aggressive maneuvers and high-speed flying deplete the battery faster than stable hovering.
  • Payload: Any additional weight carried by the drone will reduce flight time.
  • Temperature: Cold temperatures can reduce battery efficiency.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Storage

  • For long-term storage, it is recommended to store Li-po batteries at approximately 50-60% charge, not fully charged or fully depleted.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry environment (ideally between 10°C and 25°C or 50°F and 77°F).
  • Keep batteries in a fireproof bag or container when storing.

6.2 Cleaning

If battery contacts become dirty, gently wipe them with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive materials.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Battery not charging: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the battery and the power source. Check for any visible damage to the battery or charger. Try a different power outlet.
  • Short flight time: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Consider factors like wind, flight style, and temperature (refer to Section 5.2). If the battery is old, its capacity may have degraded over time.
  • Battery swelling or overheating: Immediately discontinue use and safely dispose of the battery. This indicates a serious internal issue.
