Setup

Pica-Dry Longlife Automatic Pencil (Model 3030)

1. Loading Leads:
   • Unscrew the cap at the top of the pencil.
   • Insert a Pica-Dry refill lead (Graphite 4050 or Multi-Use 4020) into the opening.
   • Screw the cap back on securely.
2. Using the Integrated Sharpener:
   • The cap of the Pica-Dry pencil features an integrated sharpener.
   • To sharpen the lead, remove the cap, insert the lead into the sharpening hole, and gently twist the pencil.
   • Ensure the lead is extended slightly before sharpening for best results.

Pica-Ink Deep Hole Marker (Model 150/46) & Pica Classic Permanent Marker (Model 532/52)

Operating Instructions

Pica-Dry Longlife Automatic Pencil (Model 3030)

• Lead Extension: Press the button at the top of the pencil to extend the lead. Release to lock the lead in place.
• Marking Surfaces:
  • Graphite Leads (4050): Ideal for dry surfaces like wood, concrete, stone, and paper. Provides clear, precise lines.
  • Multi-Use Leads (4020): Suitable for smooth, glossy surfaces such as metal, ceramic, glass, and plastic. Marks can be wiped clean with a damp cloth from non-porous surfaces.
• Precision Marking: Use the extended, sharpened lead for accurate marking in tight spaces or for fine lines.

Pica-Ink Deep Hole Marker (Model 150/46)

• Deep Hole Access: The extended, fine tip allows marking through drill holes or in recessed areas where standard markers cannot reach.
• Application: Press the tip firmly onto the surface to initiate ink flow. Suitable for various materials.

Pica Classic Permanent Marker (Model 532/52)

• Permanent Marking: Provides durable, permanent marks on most surfaces.
• Quick Drying: The ink is designed to dry quickly to prevent smudging.

Maintenance

• Refill Replacement (Pica-Dry): When the lead is too short or depleted, follow the "Loading Leads" steps in the Setup section to replace it.
• Cleaning:
  • For Pica-Dry Multi-Use leads, marks on non-porous surfaces can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
  • For Pica-Ink and Pica Classic markers, avoid cleaning the tips with solvents as this may damage them. If the tip becomes clogged, gently press it on a scrap piece of material to encourage ink flow.
• Storage:
  • Always replace caps securely on all markers and pencils after use to prevent drying out and lead breakage.
  • Store the entire set in the provided storage bag to protect the tools from dust, dirt, and damage.

Troubleshooting
