Introduction
Welcome to the PlayStation 4 Slim System user manual. This guide provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your console. The PlayStation 4 Slim offers a lighter and slimmer design with a 500GB hard drive, providing access to a vast library of games and entertainment options.

Setup
Follow these steps to set up your PlayStation 4 Slim system:
- Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into the AC IN port on the back of the PS4 Slim, then into a wall outlet.
- Connect to TV: Use the supplied HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT port on the PS4 Slim to the HDMI IN port on your television.
- Connect to Internet (Optional): For online features and updates, connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port on the back of the console, or configure Wi-Fi settings after initial setup.
- Connect Controller: Connect the DualShock 4 wireless controller to the PS4 Slim using the supplied USB cable. Press the PS button on the controller to pair it.

Operating the Console
Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press the power button on the front of the console or the PS button on a paired controller.
- To Power Off: Hold the PS button on the controller to bring up the Quick Menu, then select [Power] > [Turn Off PS4]. Alternatively, press and hold the power button on the console for at least 7 seconds.
Gaming and Media
Your PlayStation 4 Slim features a 500GB hard drive for storing games, applications, and media content. It supports both physical game discs and digital downloads from the PlayStation Store.
- Playing Disc-Based Games: Insert a game disc into the disc slot on the front of the console. The game icon will appear on the home screen.
- Digital Games: Purchase and download games directly from the PlayStation Store. Downloaded games will appear on your home screen.
- Media Playback: The PS4 Slim can play Blu-ray Discs and DVDs. It also supports various streaming services and media apps available for download.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your PS4 Slim:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the console with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid using liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
- Ventilation: Ensure the console is placed in a well-ventilated area. Do not block the ventilation ports on the sides and back of the console. Adequate airflow prevents overheating.
- Software Updates: Keep your system software updated to the latest version for improved performance, new features, and security enhancements.

Troubleshooting
