4. Setup
4.1 Connecting the Base Unit
- Connect the AC power adapter to the base unit and then to a standard electrical outlet.
- Connect the telephone line cord to the base unit and then to a telephone wall jack.

4.2 Installing the Battery
- Remove the handset cover by sliding it downwards.
- Insert the supplied Lithium Polymer battery pack into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.

4.3 Charging the Handset
Place the handset on the base unit. The charging indicator on the handset will illuminate. Allow the handset to charge for at least 7 hours before initial use to ensure full battery capacity.
4.4 Initial Settings

5. Operating the Phone
5.1 Making Calls
- To make an external call: Press TALK, then dial the phone number.
- To use the speakerphone: Press SPEAKERPHONE button during a call.
5.2 Answering Calls
When the phone rings, press TALK or any dial key (0-9, *, #) to answer the call.
5.3 Adjusting Volume
During a call, use the VOLUME UP/DOWN buttons on the side of the handset to adjust the earpiece or speaker volume.
5.4 Using the Digital Answering System
The KX-TGC210 features a digital answering system. To activate or deactivate, press the ANSWER ON/OFF button on the base unit or through the handset menu. To listen to messages, press the PLAY button on the base unit or access the "Answering System" menu on the handset.

If you have multiple handsets registered to the same base unit, you can make intercom calls between them. Press the INTERCOM button and select the desired handset.
