Thank you for choosing the Pure Siesta Charge. This digital radio alarm clock combines advanced audio features with convenient charging capabilities, designed to enhance your daily routine. It features DAB/DAB+ and FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity for audio streaming, and a built-in wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device.

Important Safety Information

• Do not expose the device to dripping or splashing liquids.
• Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the device.
• Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Connections

Carefully remove the Siesta Charge from its packaging. Ensure all components are present: the Siesta Charge unit and the power adapter.

1. Extend the wire antenna fully for optimal radio reception.
2. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN socket on the back of the Siesta Charge.
3. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.

2. Initial Power-On and Setup Wizard

Upon first power-on, the Siesta Charge will automatically enter the setup wizard.

• Language: Use the < and > buttons to select your preferred language, then press Snooze/Station-Select to confirm.
• Time Format: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour format.
• Auto Scan (DAB): The radio will automatically perform a full scan for DAB/DAB+ stations. This may take a few minutes.
• Time and Date: The time and date will be automatically set via DAB or FM signal. If no signal is available, you may need to set it manually via the Menu.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the Power button () to turn the unit on or off (standby mode).

Selecting Source (DAB/FM/Bluetooth/AUX)

Press the Source button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: DAB Radio, FM Radio, Bluetooth, and AUX In.

Radio Operation (DAB/DAB+ and FM)

• Tuning: In DAB or FM mode, use the < and > buttons to navigate through stations or frequencies.
• Preset Stations: The Siesta Charge allows for 20 DAB and 20 FM presets.
  • Saving a Preset: Tune to the desired station. Press and hold one of the preset buttons (1, 2, 3+) until "Preset Saved" appears. For presets 4-40, press and hold 3+, then use < and > to select the preset number, and press Snooze/Station-Select to confirm.
  • Recalling a Preset: Briefly press the desired preset button (1, 2, 3+) to recall a saved station.

Bluetooth Connectivity

The Siesta Charge features integrated Bluetooth 3.0 for wireless audio streaming.

1. Press the Source button until "Bluetooth" is displayed. The unit will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth icon.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), search for "Pure Siesta Charge" in the Bluetooth settings.
3. Select "Pure Siesta Charge" to pair. Once connected, the Bluetooth icon on the display will become solid.
4. You can now stream audio from your device to the Siesta Charge.

Setting Alarms

The Siesta Charge has multiple independent alarms.

1. Press one of the Alarm buttons (Q1, Q2, Q3) to select an alarm to set or modify.
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to set the alarm time, duration, source (DAB, FM, Buzzer), frequency (daily, weekdays, weekends, once), and volume.
3. Press Snooze/Station-Select to confirm each setting.

To snooze an active alarm, press the Snooze button. To stop an alarm, press any other button.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows the radio to play for a set duration before automatically turning off.

• Press the Sleep button repeatedly to cycle through sleep timer options (e.g., 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 minutes, Off).
• The display will show the selected sleep time.

Display Brightness (CrystalVue+ LCD)

The CrystalVue+ display features automatic dimming based on ambient light. You can also adjust it manually.

• To manually adjust brightness, press the Menu button, navigate to "Display" or "Brightness", and use < and > to select the desired level.

Wireless Charging (Qi-compatible)

The top surface of the Siesta Charge features a wireless charging pad for Qi-compatible smartphones.

1. Place your Qi-compatible smartphone centrally on the charging pad.
2. Ensure the phone is correctly aligned for charging to begin. A charging indicator may appear on your phone's screen.
3. Remove any metal objects or thick cases from your phone that might interfere with charging.

USB Charging Port

A USB-A port is located on the back of the unit for charging mobile phones or tablets via a cable.

• Connect your device's USB charging cable to the USB-A port on the Siesta Charge.
• Connect the other end of the cable to your mobile device.

Headphone Jack (AUX Out)

A 3.5mm headphone jack is available for private listening.

• Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm jack on the back of the unit.
• Audio will automatically switch from the speaker to the headphones.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the Siesta Charge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Display: For the display, use a microfiber cloth to gently wipe away dust or smudges.
• Antenna: Handle the wire antenna carefully to avoid damage.
• Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, disconnect it from the power outlet and store it in a cool, dry place.
