Setup and First Use
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove the filter jug and all filters from their packaging.
- Wash the Jug: Wash all parts of the jug (except the filter) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not wash the filter with soap.
- Prepare the Filter: Submerge a new Laica bi-flux filter in cold water for approximately 15 minutes to remove any air bubbles. This primes the filter for optimal performance.
- Insert the Filter: Firmly insert the prepared filter into the designated compartment within the jug's funnel. Ensure it is seated correctly to prevent unfiltered water from bypassing the filter.
- Initial Filtration: Fill the jug with tap water. Discard the first two filtered batches of water. This helps to flush out any loose carbon particles from the new filter.
- Set Filter Indicator: If your jug has a filter life indicator (manual or electronic), set it according to the instructions to track filter usage.

Operating Instructions
Using your Laica filter jug is straightforward:
- Filling: Open the lid or use the "Quick-Fill" automatic flap to pour tap water into the funnel. The water will slowly filter through the bi-flux cartridge into the main reservoir.
- Pouring: Once the water has filtered, it is ready for consumption. Pour from the spout as you would with any jug.
- Storage: Store the filtered water in the refrigerator for best taste and to maintain freshness. The compact design allows it to fit conveniently in most refrigerator doors.

Maintenance and Filter Replacement
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Laica filter jug.
- Cleaning the Jug: Wash the jug (excluding the filter) regularly with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. It is recommended to clean the jug every time you replace the filter.
- Filter Life: Each Laica bi-flux filter is designed to filter approximately 150 liters of water or last for about 30 days, whichever comes first.
- Filter Replacement: When the filter indicator signals replacement, or after 30 days/150 liters, discard the old filter and replace it with a new one following the "Prepare the Filter" and "Insert the Filter" steps from the Setup section.
- Reset Indicator: After replacing the filter, reset the filter life indicator on the jug.
