Basic Arithmetic Operations

  • Addition (+): Enter the first number, press +, enter the second number, then press =.
  • Subtraction (-): Enter the first number, press -, enter the second number, then press =.
  • Multiplication (x): Enter the first number, press x, enter the second number, then press =.
  • Division (÷): Enter the first number, press ÷, enter the second number, then press =.

Special Functions

  • Percentage (%): To calculate a percentage, enter the number, press x, enter the percentage value, then press %. For example, to find 10% of 200, enter 200, press x, enter 10, then press %.
  • Square Root (): Enter the number, then press .
  • Change Sign (+/-): To change the sign of a displayed number, press the +/- button.

Clearing Entries

  • Clear Entry (CE): Clears the last entered number or operation without affecting previous calculations.
  • On/Clear (ON/C): Turns the calculator on or clears all current calculations and memory.

  • Battery Replacement: The calculator uses one CR2 battery. If the display becomes dim or unresponsive in low light, the battery may need replacement. To replace, carefully open the battery compartment on the back of the unit, insert a new CR2 battery with the correct polarity, and close the compartment.

    • Press the ON/C button to turn it on.

    • This is a normal power-saving feature. The calculator will automatically shut off after approximately 6 minutes of inactivity. Press ON/C to reactivate.
  • Incorrect calculation results:
    • Ensure all previous calculations are cleared by pressing ON/C before starting a new calculation.
    • Verify that the correct operation buttons were pressed.
