Battery Installation

  1. Ensure the walkie-talkie is turned off.
  2. Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the walkie-talkie.
  3. Gently push the battery into place until it clicks securely.

Charging the Batteries

The 6-way multi-unit charger allows for efficient charging of up to six walkie-talkies or batteries simultaneously. Each slot has an independent pilot lamp to indicate charging status.

  1. Connect the power adapter to the 6-way charger and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Place the walkie-talkies (with batteries installed) or individual batteries into the charging slots.

Operating Instructions

Turning On/Off and Volume Control

  1. To turn on the walkie-talkie, rotate the top-left knob clockwise until you hear a click.
  2. Continue rotating the same knob to adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
  3. To turn off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until it clicks off.

Channel Selection

The RT27 features 16 channels. To communicate, all walkie-talkies must be set to the same channel.

  1. Rotate the top-right knob to select your desired channel (1-16).
  2. Ensure all radios intended for communication are on the identical channel.

Transmitting and Receiving

  1. To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the walkie-talkie. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  2. Release the PTT button to receive.

VOX Function (Hands-Free Operation)

The RT27 is equipped with a VOX (Voice Operated Exchange) function, allowing for hands-free communication.

  1. To activate VOX, refer to the specific programming instructions (usually requires programming software, not directly on the radio).
  2. Once activated, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice, eliminating the need to press the PTT button.
