Model: UBC-03

1. Introduction and Overview

The MODUS Ultrasonic Dog Barking Deterrent and Training Device is designed to assist in modifying unwanted dog behaviors through the use of ultrasonic sound. This device functions as both a bark control unit and a training aid, providing a humane method to address issues such as excessive barking, digging, and other undesirable actions.

The device emits an ultrasonic sound at 25KHz, a frequency audible to dogs but generally imperceptible to humans. This sound serves to capture a dog's attention and can be used in conjunction with verbal commands and positive reinforcement during training.

5.4 Training Guidelines

Effective training requires consistency and patience. Use the device as a tool to redirect unwanted behaviors, always pairing it with clear commands and positive reinforcement.

  1. When your dog exhibits an unwanted behavior (e.g., barking), point the ultrasonic emission port towards the dog's head.
  2. Press the emission key briefly while giving a verbal command (e.g., "Quiet," "No Bark").
  3. Once the dog stops the unwanted behavior, wait for approximately 3 minutes of quiet.
  4. Reward your dog with praise, treats, or petting to reinforce the desired behavior.
  5. Consider using a beep mode (if available on your specific model) before ultrasonic emission to establish a conditioned reflex, which can enhance training effectiveness.
