For optimal performance and hygiene, clean your ice maker regularly. It is recommended to clean the machine every 4-6 weeks, and the ice basket frequently.

  • Unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Remove the ice basket and wash it with warm, soapy water.
  • Drain any remaining water from the reservoir using the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
  • Clean the interior of the reservoir and ice-making components with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner or a solution of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). For hard-to-reach spots, a toothbrush can be used.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove any cleaning solution residue. Ensure no chemicals are left behind to avoid affecting ice taste.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.

Draining Water

To drain the water, unplug the unit and place it over a sink or basin. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of the unit and allow all water to empty. Replace the plug securely after draining.

Storage

If storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is thoroughly cleaned and dried. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
