5. Operating Instructions

Your Kichler Monarch ceiling fan is controlled by a wall control unit.

5.1 Fan Speed Control

The wall control allows you to adjust the fan speed. Typically, there are three speed settings: High, Medium, and Low. Select the desired speed for optimal air circulation.

5.2 Light Control

The wall control also operates the integrated LED light. Press the light button to turn the light on or off. Some controls may offer dimming capabilities; refer to your specific wall control's instructions for details.

5.3 Reversible Blade Function

The fan features a reversible motor for seasonal use. A switch on the fan motor housing allows you to change the direction of blade rotation:

  • Downward Airflow (Summer): Set the switch to circulate air downwards, creating a cooling effect.
  • Upward Airflow (Winter): Set the switch to circulate air upwards, helping to redistribute warm air trapped near the ceiling.

Always turn off the fan and ensure the blades have stopped completely before changing the direction of rotation.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ceiling fan.

  • Cleaning: To prevent damage to the finish, clean the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Blade Cleaning: Wipe the fan blades with a soft cloth to remove dust.
  • Light Bulb Replacement: The fan uses candelabra base LED bulbs. Ensure power is off before replacing bulbs. Use bulbs of the same type and wattage (12 watts, 1050 Lumen, 3000 Kelvin) to maintain performance and safety.
  • Tighten Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten all screws and fasteners on the fan and blades to ensure secure operation.
