3. Setup

Before operating your QSC CP8 loudspeaker, ensure it is placed on a stable surface or mounted securely. The speaker can be used in various orientations: floor standing, as a stage monitor, or mounted on a speaker pole.

3.1 Connecting Power

1. Ensure the power switch on the rear panel is in the 'OFF' position.
2. Connect the provided power cord to the AC inlet on the rear panel.
3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a suitable AC power outlet.

3.2 Audio Connections

1. Connect your audio source (mixer, microphone, instrument, etc.) to the 'MIC/LINE' or 'LINE' input jacks on the rear panel.
2. Use the 'MIX OUT' XLR connector to send a mixed signal to another CP8 loudspeaker or a subwoofer.

4.1 Powering On/Off

1. To power on, flip the power switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The power LED on the front of the speaker will illuminate.
2. To power off, flip the power switch to the 'OFF' position.

4.2 Adjusting Volume and Gain

• Use the 'GAIN A+B' and 'GAIN C' knobs on the rear panel to adjust the input level for each channel. Start with the gain set low and gradually increase it to avoid distortion.
• The 'LIMITER' LED indicates when the internal limiter is active. Reduce the input gain if this LED is frequently lit.
