Setup and Programming

Follow these steps carefully to program your XIHADA Universal Remote:

Step 1: Clear Existing Codes (First Use)

  1. Press and hold the top-left button and the top-right button simultaneously on the XIHADA remote.
  2. Hold until the LED indicator light flashes slowly, then quickly, and then turns off. This indicates that the remote's memory has been cleared.
  3. Release both buttons.

If the LED does not flash as described, repeat the process. Ensure the buttons are pressed firmly.

Step 2: Clone Your Original Remote

  6. Repeat this process for any other buttons you wish to program on the XIHADA remote using different original remotes or functions.

Note: If the LED does not flash rapidly, try adjusting the distance between the remotes or the angle. Some remotes may require direct contact.

Step 3: Pair with Garage Door/Gate Opener (Learn Button)

This step is crucial for many garage door and gate opener systems. You will need to access the "Learn" or "Program" button on your actual garage door or gate opener motor unit.

  1. Locate the "Learn" or "Program" button on your garage door or gate opener motor. This button is typically found on the motor unit itself, often under a light cover or on the back panel. Refer to your opener's manual if you cannot find it.
  2. Press and release the "Learn" button on your opener. The indicator light on the opener will usually illuminate or flash, indicating it is in learning mode. You typically have about 30 seconds to complete the next step.
  3. Immediately after pressing the "Learn" button on the opener, press the programmed button on your XIHADA remote (the one you programmed in Step 2) once.
  4. The opener's light may flash or click, confirming that the remote has been successfully paired.
