Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
- Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
- CAUTION: The surface of the burner becomes very hot during operation. Avoid direct contact. Refer to the "CAUTION DO NOT TOUCH" label on the appliance.

- Exterior: Wipe the exterior housing with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used. Ensure no water or cleaning solution enters the internal components.
- Heating Coil: For light spills, wipe with a damp cloth once cooled. For baked-on food, gently scrape with a non-abrasive tool. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or metallic scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.
- Drip Pan (if applicable): If your model includes a removable drip pan, remove it and wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before replacing.
- Do not immerse the burner unit, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: When not in use, store the burner in a dry place, away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Burner does not heat up. | Not plugged in; Power outlet not functioning; Temperature knob set to "OFF"; Internal thermal cut-off activated. | Ensure power cord is securely plugged in. Test outlet with another appliance. Turn temperature knob to a heat setting. Allow unit to cool down completely, then try again. |
| Burner heats slowly or inconsistently. | Low heat setting selected; Cookware not suitable; Voltage fluctuation. | Increase temperature setting. Use flat-bottomed cookware that makes full contact with the heating coil. Ensure the power supply is stable. |
| Smoke or odor during first use. | Protective coating burning off. | This is normal for initial use. Operate the burner on a high setting for 10-15 minutes in a well-ventilated area until smoke/odor dissipates. |
