Setup

1. Unboxing: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all included items are present: the Metabo ASR 35 unit, 10.5-foot suction hose, two HEPA polyester filter cassettes, and a PE filter bag.

   

2. Attaching the Hose: Connect the 35mm suction hose securely to the inlet port on the front of the vacuum cleaner. Ensure a tight fit to prevent loss of suction.
3. Filter Installation: The vacuum comes with two HEPA polyester filter cassettes. Ensure they are properly seated in their compartments. Refer to the maintenance section for detailed filter access.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On: Locate the main power switch on the control panel. Turn the switch to the "ON" position to start the vacuum.

   

2. Using with Power Tools (Auto-Start Feature):
   • Plug your power tool into the integrated power socket on the vacuum cleaner's control panel.
   • Set the vacuum's control switch to the "Auto" position.
   • When you activate the power tool, the vacuum cleaner will automatically turn on to begin dust extraction. It will turn off shortly after the power tool is switched off.

3. Wet Vacuuming: The ASR 35 can be used for wet vacuuming. Ensure the PE filter bag is removed before wet vacuuming. The automatic trailing mechanism will shut off the vacuum when the maximum liquid filling level is reached.

Maintenance

1. Emptying the Dust Container/Bag:
   • For dry vacuuming, the PE filter bag collects dust. When the suction power noticeably decreases or the container is full, empty the bag.
   • Release the latches on the sides of the unit to open the top cover.
   • Carefully remove the full PE filter bag and dispose of its contents responsibly.
   • Insert a new PE filter bag, ensuring it is properly seated.
2. Cleaning/Replacing HEPA Filters:
   • The HEPA polyester filter cassettes are washable. Periodically inspect them for excessive dust buildup or damage.
   • To access the filters, open the top cover of the vacuum. The filters are located inside.
   • Remove the filter cassettes. They can be cleaned by gently tapping them to dislodge dust or by washing them with water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstallation.
