Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and smooth operation of your door lock set.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior finish with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant or a silicone-based spray to the keyway and the latch mechanisms to maintain smooth operation. Do not use oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
- Tighten Screws: Check all mounting screws periodically and tighten them if they have become loose. Do not overtighten.
- Inspect for Wear: Regularly inspect the handleset for any signs of wear or damage. Address any issues promptly to prevent further problems.
