1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Brock Electronics TO-3001-B Electric Oven. This manual provides important information regarding the safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new appliance. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the oven and keep it for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before using the oven.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or oven in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

• Do not place cooking utensils or baking dishes on the glass door.
• Do not cover crumb tray or any part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause overheating of the oven.

4. Setup and First Use

Unpacking:

1. Carefully remove the oven and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or labels from the oven.
3. Wipe the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash the baking tray, wire rack, and tray handle in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Placement:

• Place the oven on a stable, heat-resistant, and level surface.
• Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the oven (at least 10-15 cm clearance on all sides and top).
• Do not place the oven near flammable materials such as curtains, walls, or paper.
• Do not place the oven directly under a wall cabinet.

Electrical Connection:

• Ensure your power supply matches the voltage specified on the oven's rating label (220-240V, 50/60Hz).
• Plug the power cord into a grounded wall outlet.

Before First Use:

It is recommended to run the oven empty for about 15 minutes to burn off any manufacturing residues and odors.

1. Set the temperature knob to 230°C.
2. Set the function knob to "Top & Bottom Heating".
3. Set the timer knob to 15 minutes.
4. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this initial operation; this is normal and will dissipate.
5. Once the timer rings, turn all knobs to "OFF" and allow the oven to cool completely before use.

5. Operating Instructions

General Operation:

1. Place food on the baking tray or wire rack.
2. Insert the tray/rack into the desired rack position inside the oven.
3. Close the oven door securely.
4. Set the desired temperature using the Temperature Control Knob (100-230°C).
5. Select the desired heating function using the Function Selector Knob:
   • Off: Oven is off.
   • Bottom Heating: Heats from the bottom elements. Ideal for baking pies or dishes requiring a crispy bottom.
   • Top Heating: Heats from the top elements. Ideal for grilling or browning the top of dishes.
   • Top & Bottom Heating: Heats from both top and bottom elements. Ideal for general baking and roasting.
   • Convection (Fan): When combined with heating functions, the fan circulates hot air for faster and more even cooking.
6. Set the cooking time using the Timer Knob (up to 60 minutes). The oven will start heating, and the power indicator light will illuminate.
7. When the set time elapses, the oven will automatically turn off and an alarm will sound.
8. Carefully remove cooked food using oven mitts and the provided tray handle.

Cooking Tips:

• Preheat the oven for 5-10 minutes before placing food inside for best results.
• Adjust cooking times and temperatures based on your recipe and desired doneness.
• For even browning, rotate the baking tray halfway through the cooking process.
• The convection function can reduce cooking time and ensure more uniform heat distribution.

Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and appearance of your oven.

Before Cleaning:

• Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Cleaning the Interior:

• Wipe the interior walls, bottom, and glass door with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
• For stubborn stains, a non-abrasive cleaner designed for oven interiors can be used. Follow the cleaner's instructions.
• Do not use abrasive pads, steel wool, or harsh chemical cleaners as they can damage the interior surfaces.
• Ensure the interior is completely dry before plugging the oven back in.

Cleaning the Exterior:

• Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishes that could scratch the finish.

Cleaning Accessories:

• The baking tray, wire rack, and tray handle can be washed in warm, soapy water or placed in a dishwasher.
• Rinse and dry thoroughly before storing or reusing.

Storage:

• Store the oven in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Ensure the oven is clean and dry before storing.
