Operating Instructions

1. Selecting a Chime Tune

The chime unit offers three selectable tunes. To change the tune:

  1. Locate the tune selection button on the chime unit (often a small button on the side or back).
  2. Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the available tunes.
  3. Stop pressing when you hear your preferred tune.

The chime unit is designed to play a specific tune for the front entrance and a distinct "ding" for a back entrance if a second push button is paired (additional push buttons sold separately).

2. Testing the Doorbell

After installation, press the push button firmly. The chime unit should sound the selected tune. If it does not, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

The system has a transmission range of up to 150 feet (approximately 45 meters) in open areas. Environmental factors and obstacles may reduce this range.

Maintenance

  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the chime unit and push button when the sound becomes faint or the unit stops functioning. Always use fresh batteries of the specified type.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Environmental Protection: While the push button is designed for outdoor use, protecting it from extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, direct sunlight, extreme cold) can extend its lifespan.
