Operating Instructions
Your Schlage Encode deadbolt offers multiple ways to operate for convenience and security. Manage your lock remotely via the Schlage Home app or Key by Amazon app.

Keypad Operation
To unlock, enter your access code on the touchscreen keypad. To lock, simply press the lock icon button on the keypad. The keypad is responsive and illuminates upon touch.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries (included). The Schlage Home app displays the current battery strength, allowing you to monitor and replace batteries before they run out. To change the batteries, simply slide out the battery compartment located on the interior side of the lock.
General Care
Regularly clean the exterior of the lock with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. Ensure the deadbolt travels smoothly into the strike plate to prevent unnecessary wear and battery drain.
