Controls and Connections

Setup

Power Connection

1. AC Power: Connect the AC power cord to the unit's AC input and then to a standard wall outlet (AC 230 V / 50 Hz).
2. Battery Power: For portable use, open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Insert 8 x 1.5 V D / LR20 batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

Antenna Setup

For optimal FM radio reception, fully extend the telescopic FM antenna. Adjust its position for the best signal.

Operating Instructions

General Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
• Source Selection: Press the Source button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: CD, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, FM Radio. The selected mode will be displayed on the LCD.
• Volume Adjustment: Rotate the Volume knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.

CD Playback

1. Open the CD compartment cover.
2. Place a CD (CD-R/RW) with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
3. Close the CD compartment cover.
4. Press the Source button to select CD mode. The unit will read the disc.
5. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback.
6. Use the Skip buttons to navigate between tracks.
7. To program tracks, press the Program button during stop mode and follow the on-screen instructions.

Bluetooth Pairing

1. Press the Source button to select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) and search for available devices.
3. Select "SENCOR SPT 5800" from the list of devices.
4. Once paired, the "BT" indicator will stop flashing, and you can play audio from your device through the SPT 5800.

USB Playback

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
2. Press the Source button to select USB mode. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing MP3 files.
3. Use the Skip buttons to navigate between tracks.

AUX Input

1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
2. Press the Source button to select AUX mode.
3. Control playback and volume from your external device.

FM Radio

1. Press the Source button to select FM Radio mode.
2. Extend the telescopic antenna for better reception.
3. Press and hold the Tuning buttons to automatically scan for the next available station. Briefly press to fine-tune.
4. To save a station, press the Program button, use the Skip buttons to select a preset number, and press Program again to confirm.

Equalizer Function

Press the EQ button repeatedly to cycle through the available equalizer presets: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Flat, Classic. Select the one that best suits your audio preference.

Disco Light Mode

Press the Light button to activate or change the LED disco light patterns and colors. The unit features 7 colors and various patterns.

Remote Control

The included remote control allows for convenient operation of the SPT 5800 from a distance. Ensure the remote's battery is inserted correctly and point it towards the unit's IR receiver.
