Brand: Anderic | Model: RR-XB-01

Introduction

The Anderic RR-XB-01 is a media remote designed for Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X consoles. It provides convenient control for entertainment functions, eliminating the need to use a game controller for media playback. This remote features pre-programmed volume and mute controls for LG and Vizio TVs, and includes a learning function for other soundbars or TVs. It comes with a wrist strap and a screw for the battery cover to ensure secure handling.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The remote requires 2 AAA batteries (sold separately). To install:

  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote.
  2. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).

2. Initial Xbox Pairing

The RR-XB-01 remote is designed to work with Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X consoles right out of the package. No manual pairing is typically required for basic Xbox media control functions.

3. TV/Soundbar Volume Control (Pre-programmed & Learning)

The remote's volume and mute buttons are pre-programmed for many LG and Vizio TVs. If your TV or soundbar is not an LG or Vizio model, or if the pre-programmed codes do not work, you can use the learning function:

  1. Place the RR-XB-01 remote and your original TV/soundbar remote on a flat surface, facing each other, about 1-2 inches apart.
  2. Press and hold the [TV Power] button on the RR-XB-01 until the LED indicator lights up solid.
  3. Press the button on the RR-XB-01 you wish to program (e.g., [Volume Up]). The LED will flash slowly.
  4. Press and hold the corresponding button on your original TV/soundbar remote (e.g., [Volume Up]). The LED on the RR-XB-01 will flash rapidly to confirm successful learning.
  5. Repeat for other buttons like [Volume Down] and [Mute].
  6. Press the [TV Power] button on the RR-XB-01 again to exit learning mode.

4. Wrist Strap Attachment

Attach the included wrist strap to the designated loop at the bottom of the remote for secure handling and to prevent accidental drops.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the remote's performance degrades or the LED indicator no longer lights up, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.

Cleaning

To clean the remote, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the remote's surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

Remote Not Responding to Xbox

  • Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace if necessary.
  • Line of Sight: The remote uses infrared (IR) technology. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote's emitter and the Xbox's IR receiver. Obstructions can block the signal.
  • Distance: Ensure you are within an effective range of the Xbox's IR receiver.
  • Xbox IR Receiver: Confirm the Xbox's IR receiver is not blocked or covered.

TV/Soundbar Volume Control Not Working

  • Verify Pre-programmed Compatibility: If your TV/soundbar is not an LG or Vizio model, the pre-programmed codes may not work.
  • Use Learning Function: Attempt to program the volume and mute buttons using the learning function with your original TV/soundbar remote, as described in the Setup section.
  • Line of Sight (TV/Soundbar): Ensure a clear line of sight to your TV or soundbar's IR receiver when using the learned functions.
