Setup Instructions
The Intex Easy Set Pool is designed for quick and simple setup, typically ready for water in as little as 30 minutes.
1. Site Preparation
- Choose a firm, level surface free of sharp objects, debris, or loose soil. The ground must be completely level to ensure proper pool structure and prevent collapse.
- Clear the area of any grass, roots, or rocks.
- Ensure the chosen location is near a power outlet for the filter pump and a water source for filling.

2. Laying the Ground Cloth
- Unfold the ground cloth and spread it evenly over the prepared level surface. This provides added protection for the pool bottom.
3. Unfolding the Pool Liner
- Carefully unfold the pool liner on top of the ground cloth.
- Spread it out completely, ensuring the drain plug is facing the desired drainage area.
- Inflate the top ring of the pool using an air pump (not included). Ensure it is firm but not over-inflated.
4. Filling the Pool
- Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, the pool walls will rise and take shape.
- Smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the pool as it fills.
- Fill the pool to approximately 80% capacity, or to the fill line indicated on the pool liner. This pool holds up to 3,739 gallons of water when 80% full.
5. Filter Pump Installation
- Connect the Krystal Clear™ Cartridge Filter Pump (Model 28637EG) according to the pump's separate instruction manual.
- Ensure all connections are secure and leak-free.
- The pump has a flow rate of 1,000 gallons per hour and comes with filter cartridges.

Operating Your Pool
Filter Pump Operation
- Once the pool is filled and the pump is connected, plug in the filter pump.
- Run the pump daily to circulate and filter the water. The duration depends on pool usage and water quality, but typically 2-10 hours per day is recommended.
- The Krystal Clear™ system uses Hydro Aeration Technology to improve filtration, clarity, and freshness by injecting air into the water, accelerating circulation, and clumping fine particles for better filtration.

Water Chemistry
- Regularly test your pool water for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels using a pool test kit (not included).
- Add appropriate pool chemicals as needed to maintain balanced water chemistry.
Maintenance
Filter Cartridge Cleaning and Replacement
- Turn off and unplug the filter pump before performing any maintenance.
- Remove the filter cartridge and rinse it with a garden hose to remove debris.
- Replace the filter cartridge every two weeks for best results, or more frequently if the water appears cloudy or the pump flow rate decreases.

Pool Cleaning
- Use a pool skimmer net to remove leaves and other floating debris from the water surface.
- Periodically vacuum the pool bottom to remove settled dirt and debris.
Pool Cover Usage
- Use the included pool cover when the pool is not in use to keep it free of dirt and debris.
- The cover is constructed of high-quality, durable vinyl with drain holes to prevent water buildups and features a 12-inch overhang for a secure fit.

Winterization and Storage
- Before freezing temperatures, completely drain the pool using the drain plug.
- Clean and dry all components thoroughly before storing them in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pool losing air from top ring | Small puncture or leak in the inflatable ring. | Locate the leak using soapy water, then patch with the included repair kit (if applicable) or a vinyl repair kit. |
| Water not clear/cloudy | Insufficient filtration, dirty filter cartridge, unbalanced water chemistry. | Run pump longer, clean or replace filter cartridge, test and adjust water chemistry (chlorine, pH). |
| Pump not running | Power issue, clogged impeller, airlock. | Check power connection, ensure GFCI is not tripped. Refer to pump manual for impeller cleaning and airlock removal. |
| Pool walls leaning/uneven water level | Pool not set up on a level surface. | This requires draining the pool, re-leveling the ground, and refilling. This is critical for pool stability. |
