2.5 Cooling System Installation (Fans & Radiators)
The Define R6 offers extensive cooling options. It comes with three 140mm fans pre-installed (two intake, one exhaust). Additional fan positions are available on the front, top, and bottom. For water cooling, the case supports large radiators:
- Top: Up to 420 mm radiator
- Front: Up to 360 mm radiator
- Base: Up to 280 mm radiator
The Nexus+ Smart Hub provides control for up to six case fans and three PWM devices via your motherboard.
2.6 Vertical GPU Mounting (Optional)
The Define R6 supports vertical GPU mounting for enhanced aesthetics. This requires a Flex VRC-25 Riser Kit, which is sold separately.

2.7 Front I/O Connections
The front panel features:
- 2 x USB 2.0 ports
- 2 x USB 3.0 ports
- Audio in/out
- Power button with LED indicator
- Reset button
An optional USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port is available via a Connect D1 upgrade kit (sold separately), offering up to 10Gbps transfer speeds.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Powering On/Off
Press the power button located on the top front panel to turn on your system. To power off, either shut down via your operating system or press and hold the power button for several seconds.
3.2 ModuVent Technology
The ModuVent system allows you to choose between silent operation and enhanced airflow. The top panel features a removable sound-dampening steel cover. Removing this cover reveals a filtered multi-fan ventilation setup, allowing for additional cooling or radiator installation.

3.3 Nexus+ Smart Hub Fan Control
The integrated Nexus+ Smart Hub allows for centralized control of your case fans. Connect your fans to the hub and connect the hub to a PWM header on your motherboard. Fan speeds can then be managed through your motherboard's BIOS or dedicated software.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning Dust Filters
The Define R6 is equipped with easy-to-clean dust filters on the front, top (under ModuVent), and base. Regularly remove and clean these filters to maintain optimal airflow and prevent dust buildup inside the case.
- Front Filter: Accessible by opening the front panel door.
- Top Filter: Accessible by removing the ModuVent cover.
- Bottom Filter: Slides out from the front of the case.
4.2 Exterior Cleaning
Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For the tempered glass panel, use a glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth to avoid streaks and scratches. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
4.3 Internal Dust Removal
Periodically use compressed air to remove dust from internal components, such as fans, heatsinks, and circuit boards, ensuring the system remains cool and performs efficiently.
5. Troubleshooting
5.1 System Not Powering On
- Ensure the power supply is switched on and properly connected to the wall outlet.
- Verify all power cables (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU, PCIe) are securely connected to the motherboard and components.
- Check that the front panel power switch cable is correctly connected to the motherboard's front panel header.
5.2 Fans Not Spinning or Excessive Noise
- Confirm fan cables are properly connected to the Nexus+ Smart Hub or motherboard headers.
- If using the Nexus+ Smart Hub, ensure it is connected to a motherboard PWM header and configured correctly in BIOS/software.
- Clean dust from fan blades and filters (refer to Section 4.1).
- Check for any cables obstructing fan rotation.
5.3 USB Ports Not Functioning
- Verify that the front panel USB cables are correctly connected to the corresponding headers on your motherboard.
- Ensure motherboard USB drivers are installed and up to date.
