1. Introduction

The EV Rider Transport M EZ S19M is a lightweight, foldable electric mobility scooter designed for ease of transport and active lifestyles. This manual provides essential information for safe and efficient operation, assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Setup and Assembly

2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all parts are present and undamaged. The package should include the scooter, battery charger, keys, armrests, and a collapsible basket.

2.2 Unfolding the Scooter

1. Ensure the scooter is in manual mode (refer to Section 3.3 for switching modes).
2. Lift the handlebar stem upwards until it locks into place.
3. Lift the seat upwards until it clicks securely.
4. Attach the armrests by sliding them into the designated slots on either side of the seat and securing them with the spring-lever tabs.
5. Attach the collapsible basket to the front of the handlebar stem.

2.3 Initial Battery Charging

The scooter is equipped with an 11.5 Ah Lithium-Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery. Charging typically takes 6 to 8 hours from a completely depleted state.

• Locate the charging port on the battery pack.
• Connect the charger to the battery port, then plug the charger into a standard electrical outlet.
• The charger indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for full).
• The scooter features a dual battery system, allowing for extended range or quick swaps. Each battery provides approximately 11 miles of range.

3. Operating the Scooter

3.1 Controls Overview

• Key Ignition: Insert and turn the key to power on/off the scooter.
• Speed Control Dial: Adjusts the maximum speed of the scooter, up to 4 mph.
• Battery Gauge: Displays the current battery charge level.
• Headlights: Activate for improved visibility. The scooter has headlights on the handlebar and at the base.
• Horn: Use to alert others.
• Throttle Levers: Push forward to accelerate, release to stop.

3.2 Driving and Safety Features

• Starting: Turn the key to the 'ON' position. Ensure the magnetic brake is disengaged (lever up).
• Acceleration: Gently press the throttle lever forward.
• Braking: Release the throttle lever to engage the intelligent braking system, which stops the scooter instantly.
• Magnetic Brake: Located at the rear, this brake prevents the scooter from moving when engaged (lever down). The scooter will not operate if this brake is engaged.
• Obstacle Clearance: The scooter is designed to easily overcome minor obstacles.
• Tires: Equipped with 7-inch explosion-proof tires for a smooth ride.

3.3 Folding and Unfolding

• Automatic Folding (Remote Control): The scooter can be folded or unfolded with a single touch using the provided remote control. Ensure the scooter is powered on for remote operation.
• Manual Folding: If the battery is depleted or the auto-fold function is not working, the scooter can be manually folded. Switch the lever located near the rear wheel from 'AUTO' to 'MANUAL' mode. Then, apply inward pressure to fold the scooter.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Care

• Always charge the battery fully after each use.
• Avoid completely draining the battery to prolong its lifespan.
• If storing the scooter for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged and periodically recharge it every few months.
• The removable battery design allows for easy swapping to extend travel range.

4.2 General Cleaning and Inspection

• Clean the scooter regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight.
• Inspect tires for wear and tear.
• Ensure all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.

• Scooter not powering on: Check if the key is fully inserted and turned to the 'ON' position. Ensure the battery is charged and properly installed.
