Setup and Installation

Tools Required:

  • Adjustable Wrench
  • Phillips Head Screwdriver
  • Plumber's Putty or Silicone Sealant
  • Bucket (for catching drips)
  • Flashlight

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Sink: Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves under the sink. Open the existing faucet to drain any remaining water. Disconnect and remove the old faucet. Clean the sink surface thoroughly.
  2. Install Deck Plate (Optional): If your sink has three holes, place the deck plate (if using) over the sink holes. Apply a thin bead of plumber's putty or silicone sealant around the underside edge of the deck plate to create a watertight seal.
  3. Mount the Faucet: Insert the faucet body through the center hole of the sink (and deck plate, if used). From underneath the sink, slide the rubber washer, then the metal washer, and finally thread the mounting nut onto the faucet shank. Hand-tighten, then use an adjustable wrench to secure it firmly, ensuring the faucet is properly aligned.
  4. Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet to the corresponding hot and cold water supply valves. The faucet's lines are typically labeled (e.g., "HOT" for hot water). Hand-tighten, then use an adjustable wrench for a final quarter-turn. Do not overtighten.
  5. Install Hose Weight: Locate the indicator on the pull-down hose (usually a sticker or mark) where the weight should be installed. Attach the provided weight to the pull-down hose at this indicated position. This weight helps the sprayer retract smoothly.
  6. Check for Leaks: Slowly turn on the hot and cold water supply valves. Check all connections for leaks. If leaks are present, tighten the connections slightly until the leak stops.
  7. Flush the Faucet: Remove the sprayer head and turn on the faucet to flush out any debris from the lines. Let the water run for a few minutes. Turn off the faucet, reattach the sprayer head, and check for proper operation.

Operating Instructions

  • Water Flow and Temperature: The single handle controls both water flow and temperature. Lift the handle to increase water flow. Move the handle to the left for hot water and to the right for cold water.
  • Pull-Down Sprayer: Grasp the sprayer head and pull it down from the spout. The hose will extend to allow for greater reach. Press the button on the sprayer head to switch between stream and spray functions. When finished, guide the sprayer head back into the spout; the hose weight will assist in retraction.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the faucet regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the chrome finish.
  • Aerator Cleaning: If water flow decreases, the aerator may be clogged. Unscrew the aerator from the tip of the sprayer head, clean any debris, and rinse thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Hose Weight Adjustment: If the pull-down sprayer does not retract smoothly, check the position of the hose weight. Adjust its position along the hose as needed to ensure proper retraction.
