Setup Instructions

Assembly of the K&H Heated Outdoor Cat House is designed to be quick and tool-free. The walls and roof attach securely using hook & loop fasteners.

1. Unfold the main body of the cat house.
2. Secure the walls together using the integrated hook & loop fasteners.
3. Place the heated pad inside the house. Ensure the cord is routed through the designated opening.
4. Attach the roof section using the hook & loop fasteners, ensuring a snug fit.
5. Insert the removable clear door flaps into the two 6" x 8" exits if desired, to provide additional protection from the elements.

Operating Instructions

The heated bed is designed for optimal safety and energy efficiency. It will not feel warm to the touch when your pet is not on the pad. This is normal. The product is designed to emit a small amount of heat when not in use, which pets can sense, but it only warms to its maximum temperature (approximately 102°F) when your pet is using the bed. This self-regulating feature adjusts to your pet's natural body temperature.

How to Test Your Heated Bed

1. Plug the bed directly into an outlet. Do not use an extension cord for testing.
2. Allow 1 hour for the bed to warm up before testing.
3. Place a large pillow on top of the heated bed.
4. After approximately 20 minutes, feel under the pillow. The bed should feel warm, but not hot. If warmth is detected, the product is functioning as designed.

For use with 110/120 volt electrical current only.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your cat house.

• Heated Pad Cover: Wash the faux fleece cover on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry.
• Heated Bed: The heated bed itself can be cleaned using a damp towel or sponge and mild dishwashing detergent. DO NOT wash the heated bed in a washing machine.
• Cat House: To clean the exterior of the house, wipe with a damp cloth.

Troubleshooting

If your heated bed does not seem to be working, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the bed is plugged directly into a functioning 110/120 volt electrical outlet. Avoid using extension cords during testing.
2. Allow the bed to warm up for at least 1 hour.
3. Perform the "How to Test Your Heated Bed" procedure described in the Operating Instructions section. The bed is designed to only reach its maximum warmth when a pet is lying on it, so it may not feel hot to the touch otherwise.
4. Verify that the product is fully safety certified. K&H products are MET safety certified, meeting and exceeding UL standards. Products lacking proper certification can pose serious safety hazards.
