1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the magnetic battery cover on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Gently lift the cover to reveal the battery compartment.
  3. Remove the protective tab from the pre-installed AAA battery.
  4. Ensure the battery is correctly oriented according to the polarity markings (+/-).
  5. Replace the magnetic battery cover, ensuring it snaps securely into place.

3.2. Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on your computer or device and ensure Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. On the underside of the mouse, press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (often indicated by a Bluetooth symbol) for approximately 3-5 seconds until the LED indicator light begins to flash. This indicates the mouse is in pairing mode.
  3. On your computer or device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  4. Select "Add Bluetooth or other device" and choose "Bluetooth".
  5. From the list of available devices, select "Microsoft Modern Mobile Mouse".
  6. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process. The LED light on the mouse will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds, then turn off, indicating a successful connection.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Functions

  • Left Click: Press the left button to select items, open links, or activate functions.
  • Right Click: Press the right button to open context menus or access additional options.
  • Scroll Wheel: Roll the metal scroll wheel up or down to navigate through documents and web pages. The wheel is optimized for smooth, natural scrolling.
  • BlueTrack Technology: The mouse utilizes Microsoft's BlueTrack technology, allowing it to track on a wide variety of surfaces, including rough wood, carpet, and glossy surfaces, without the need for a mouse pad.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning

  • To clean the mouse, use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the mouse's finish.
  • Regularly clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse to ensure optimal tracking performance.

5.2. Battery Replacement

  • When the mouse's performance degrades or the LED indicator signals low battery, replace the AAA battery.
  • Follow the battery installation steps outlined in Section 3.1.
  • Dispose of used batteries responsibly according to local regulations.

6. Troubleshooting
