Important Safety Instructions

Initial Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all contents from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or shipping.
  2. First Wash: Wash the inner cooking pot, cooking rack, and lid (including the sealing ring) with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The main unit should be wiped with a damp cloth.
  3. Placement: Place the multi-cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from walls and other appliances to allow for proper ventilation.
  4. Power Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the multi-cooker's base and then into a grounded electrical outlet.

Using Cooking Functions

To use any function, ensure the inner pot is in place and ingredients are added. Close the lid securely for pressure cooking or slow cooking, or leave open for Sauté/Brown.

  1. Pressure Cook (High/Low): Select the 'Pressure Cook' button. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust cooking time. The 'High' or 'Low' indicator will light up. Press 'Start/Stop' to begin. The unit will build pressure, then cook for the set time.
  2. Slow Cook (High/Low): Select the 'Slow Cook' button. Adjust time with '+' and '-' buttons. The 'High' or 'Low' indicator will light up. Press 'Start/Stop' to begin.
  3. Rice (White, Brown, Risotto, Steamed): Select the 'Rice' button. Cycle through the rice types using the 'Rice' button until your desired setting is selected. The unit will automatically adjust time and temperature. Press 'Start/Stop'.
  4. Yogurt: Follow the 2-step process for homemade yogurt. Select 'Yogurt' and follow on-screen prompts or manual instructions for incubation.
  5. Sauté/Brown: Select 'Sauté/Brown'. Adjust temperature if needed. The unit will heat up, allowing you to brown or sauté ingredients directly in the inner pot before other cooking functions.
  6. Steam: Add water to the inner pot and place the cooking rack. Place food on the rack. Select 'Steam' and adjust time. Press 'Start/Stop'.
  7. Manual Function: This allows the unit to be used as a traditional stockpot. Select 'Manual' and set your desired temperature and time.
  8. Keep Warm: This function automatically activates at the end of most cooking programs to keep food warm until served.
  9. Time Delay: Use this feature to delay the start of a cooking program for up to 6 hours, allowing you to plan meals in advance.

Care and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your Zavor LUX Edge Multi-Cooker.

  • Inner Cooking Pot and Rack: The stainless steel inner cooking pot and cooking rack are dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  • Lid: Hand wash the lid with warm, soapy water. Pay attention to the sealing ring and valves, ensuring no food particles are lodged. The sealing ring can be removed for thorough cleaning. Ensure it is properly reinstalled before next use.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Never immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing. Store the multi-cooker in a dry place.
