Setup and First Use
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and labels from the pan, lid, and poacher insert.
- Wash: Before first use, wash all components (pan, lid, and poacher insert) thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry completely.
- Condition (Optional for enhanced nonstick): For optimal nonstick performance, lightly rub a small amount of cooking oil (such as vegetable or canola oil) onto the interior surface of the pan and each nylon cup. Wipe off any excess oil with a paper towel.
Operating Instructions
Poaching Eggs
- Add Water: Pour approximately 0.5 to 1 inch of water into the frying pan. Ensure the water level is below the bottom of the poacher cups when inserted.
- Insert Poacher: Place the four-cup nylon poacher insert into the frying pan.
- Grease Cups: Lightly grease the inside of each nylon cup with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking and ensure easy egg removal.
- Crack Eggs: Carefully crack one egg into each greased nylon cup.
- Heat: Place the pan on your stovetop over medium heat. Bring the water to a gentle simmer (not a rolling boil).
- Cover and Cook: Cover the pan with the glass lid. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the yolks reach your desired consistency. For a runny yolk, cook for less time; for a firmer yolk, cook longer.
- Remove Eggs: Using a spoon or a small spatula, carefully lift each poached egg from its cup. The easy-hold handle on the poacher insert allows for safe removal of the entire insert if preferred.

Using as a Frying Pan
The 8-inch pan can be used independently as a versatile frying pan. Simply remove the poacher insert and use it for sautéing, frying, or searing your favorite foods. The CopperSlide™ nonstick surface ensures excellent food release.

Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: The pan and poacher insert are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. For best results and to prolong the life of the nonstick coating, hand washing with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge is recommended.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh scouring pads, as these can damage the nonstick surface.
- Utensils: Use nylon, plastic, or wooden utensils to avoid scratching the nonstick coating. Metal utensils may scratch the surface.
- Heat Settings: Use medium to low heat settings for most cooking tasks. High heat can damage the nonstick coating over time. The pan is oven safe up to 350°F (175°C).
- Storage: Store the pan and insert carefully to prevent scratching. Placing a soft cloth or paper towel between stacked pans can help protect the nonstick surface.

Troubleshooting
- Eggs Sticking to Cups: Ensure cups are lightly greased with butter or cooking spray before adding eggs. This is crucial for nonstick release.
- Unevenly Cooked Eggs: Verify that the water in the pan is at a gentle simmer and not boiling too vigorously. Ensure the pan is centered on the heat source.
- Water Evaporating Too Quickly: Ensure the lid is securely placed on the pan to trap steam and moisture. Reduce heat if water is boiling too rapidly.
