1. Introduction

The DOSS E-go is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed for both indoor and outdoor use. It features Alexa-enabled voice control, a built-in microphone for calls, and an IPX6 waterproof rating. This manual provides instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your speaker.

4. Controls and Indicators

The DOSS E-go speaker features intuitive controls for easy operation. Specific button functions include power, volume, play/pause, and an Alexa activation button.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Speaker

1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the speaker.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 8 hours.
4. The indicator light will change or turn off once charging is complete.

5.2 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Power on the DOSS E-go speaker. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
2. On your smartphone or tablet, go to the Bluetooth settings.
3. Select "DOSS E-go" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid.

5.3 Connecting to Alexa

The DOSS E-go speaker can connect to Alexa via Wi-Fi (at home) or 4G (outdoors) through its companion app.

Important Note: The DOSS E-go speaker does not support the Indian version of Amazon Alexa.

1. Download the exclusive DOSS app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your DOSS E-go speaker to your Amazon Alexa account.
3. Ensure your speaker is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network for home use or has a 4G connection for outdoor use (via your paired smartphone).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the power button until the indicator light illuminates.
• To power off, press and hold the power button again until the indicator light turns off.

6.2 Audio Playback

• Bluetooth Mode: After successful pairing, play audio from your connected device. Use the speaker's volume controls or your device's volume controls to adjust the sound level.
• Auxiliary Input: Connect an audio device using the provided 3.5mm auxiliary cable. The speaker will automatically switch to Aux mode.
• Micro SD Card: Insert a Micro SD card with audio files into the designated slot. The speaker will automatically begin playing music from the card.

6.3 Using Alexa Voice Control

Once connected to Alexa via the DOSS app, press the dedicated Alexa button on the speaker to activate voice commands. You can then ask Alexa questions, play music, check the weather, and more.

6.4 Hands-Free Calling

When connected to your smartphone via Bluetooth, the built-in microphone allows you to make and receive calls directly through the speaker. Press the play/pause button to answer or end a call.

6.5 Portability and Waterproofing

The DOSS E-go's compact design and IPX6 waterproof rating make it suitable for various environments. IPX6 means the speaker is protected against high-pressure water jets from any direction, but it is not designed for submersion.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, fully charge the speaker before long periods of storage and recharge it every few months if not in use.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and try again.
• Cannot Pair via Bluetooth:
  • Ensure the speaker is in pairing mode (Bluetooth indicator flashing).
  • Turn off Bluetooth on your device and turn it back on.
  • Forget "DOSS E-go" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Ensure no other devices are currently connected to the speaker.
• No Sound:
  • Check the volume levels on both the speaker and your connected device.
  • Ensure the correct input source (Bluetooth, Aux, Micro SD) is selected.
  • If using Aux, ensure the cable is fully inserted and not damaged.
• Alexa Not Responding:
  • Ensure the speaker is connected to a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G via phone).
  • Verify that the DOSS app is running and connected to your Alexa account.
  • Remember to press the Alexa button on the speaker before issuing a command.
  • Confirm that your region's Alexa service is supported (Indian version is not supported).
