4. Setup and Installation

The Escort M1 Dash Camera is designed for a plug-n-play setup, integrating with compatible Escort radar detectors.

4.1 Compatibility

The M1 Dash Cam is compatible with the following Escort radar detectors:

4.2 Mounting

  1. Attach the M1 Dash Cam to your compatible Escort radar detector's mounting bracket. The camera is designed to clip directly onto the suction cup mount of the radar detector.
  2. Connect the short RJ-11 power cord from the M1 Dash Cam into the designated port on your radar detector.
  3. Ensure the radar detector's power cord is connected to the vehicle's 12V power outlet. The M1 will draw power through the radar detector.
  4. Position the dash cam to ensure a clear view of the road ahead, adjusting the angle as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Automatic Recording

The M1 Dash Cam is designed for automatic operation. Once connected and powered, it will automatically begin recording when your vehicle starts and stop recording when the vehicle is turned off.

5.2 Emergency Recording

In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-Sensor will automatically trigger an emergency recording, protecting the relevant video segment from being overwritten by loop recording. You can also manually trigger an emergency recording by pressing the dedicated button on the dash cam.
