1. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety information before assembling and using your TOOLPORT Storage Tent. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.
- Wind and Snow Loads: This tent is not rated for specific wind and snow loads. It is crucial to assemble it correctly and promptly clear any snow accumulation from the roof.
- Storm Set: Always use a storm set (ropes and stakes) in windy conditions to enhance stability.
- Extreme Weather: For strong winds or heavy snowfall, temporary disassembly of the tent is recommended to prevent damage.
- Site Selection: Choose a level, stable surface for assembly. Avoid areas prone to flooding or excessive wind exposure.
- Assembly Personnel: Assembly should be performed by at least two adults.
2. Product Overview and Features
The TOOLPORT 13x20 ft. Storage Tent is designed for year-round storage, offering a sturdy and reliable shelter solution.
- High-Quality Tarpaulin: Made from durable PVC material, the waterproof roof tarpaulin covers the structure as a single piece, providing essential stability. It features a tensile strength of 800 N.
- Stable Construction: All frame elements are bolted together for enhanced structural integrity. The tent features extra strong legs (approximately Ø 1.97 in.) for increased load-bearing capacity.
- Reinforcement: A floor frame and roof reinforcement system contribute to overall stability.
- Customizable Entrances: The tent includes mountable gable and sidewalls, allowing for flexible entry and exit points. Sidewalls attach individually between poles, approximately every 6.5 ft.
- Complete Package: The tent comes with a steel frame, base frame, roof tarpaulin, side and gable walls with entrances, ropes, stakes, and assembly instructions.

4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly of your storage tent.
4.1. Frame Assembly
- Unpack Components: Lay out all frame components on a clean, flat surface. Organize poles and connectors according to the included parts diagram.
- Assemble Base Frame: Connect the base frame poles using the provided connectors and bolts. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Erect Vertical Poles: Insert the vertical leg poles into the base frame connectors.
- Connect Roof Structure: Begin assembling the roof frame by connecting the horizontal and angled roof poles. Use the specialized connectors and bolts to create the pitched roof structure.
- Secure Connections: Ensure all bolts are tightened securely at each connection point. Do not overtighten, but ensure there is no wobble.

4.2. Tarpaulin Installation
- Install Roof Tarpaulin: Carefully drape the single-piece roof tarpaulin over the assembled frame. Ensure it is centered and evenly distributed. Secure it to the frame using the integrated fastening points.
- Attach Gable Walls: Fasten the gable walls to the front and rear ends of the frame. Ensure the entrance zippers are aligned and functional.
- Attach Sidewalls: Attach the individual sidewall sections between the vertical poles. These typically connect with elastic cords or similar fasteners. Ensure they are taut to prevent flapping.
4.3. Securing the Tent
- Use Stakes: Drive the provided stakes through the base frame anchor points into the ground. Ensure they are firmly embedded.
- Utilize Ropes: Attach the ropes to the designated points on the tent structure and secure them to additional ground stakes, pulling them taut at an angle to provide extra stability against wind.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan of your storage tent.
- Cleaning: Clean the PVC tarpaulin with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry completely before storage.
- Frame Inspection: Periodically check all frame connections and bolts for tightness. Re-tighten as necessary. Inspect poles for any signs of rust or damage.
- Tarpaulin Inspection: Regularly inspect the tarpaulin for tears, punctures, or wear. Promptly repair any damage using appropriate PVC repair kits to maintain waterproofing.
- Snow Removal: In snowy conditions, regularly remove snow from the roof to prevent excessive weight accumulation, which can cause structural collapse.
- Seasonal Storage: If disassembling for long-term storage, clean all components, ensure they are dry, and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and pests.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
- Tent Instability: Ensure all frame connections are securely bolted. Verify that ground stakes are firmly driven and ropes are taut. Consider adding additional anchoring points in very windy areas.
- Water Leaks: Check the roof tarpaulin for any tears or punctures. Ensure the tarpaulin is properly tensioned and overlaps correctly at all seams. Apply a PVC repair patch if a leak source is identified.
- Zipper Malfunction: Ensure zippers are clean and free of debris. Lubricate with a silicone-based spray if they are stiff. Avoid forcing stuck zippers.
- Difficulty Assembling Frame: Double-check that you are using the correct poles and connectors as per the assembly diagram. Ensure components are not bent or damaged.
